In my opinion....he is clearly at the peek of his powers during this period. His voice has matured and his style completely refined and so laid back. Total control, amazing power....and the way he finishes with the growling "me" at the end of the song......well...that kind of talent is just so rare.....so unique....and so amazing. They'll never be another like him.
He was almost rabid about enunciating his words so clearly and carefully -- no one else has ever done that before, during of since Sinatra -- pure perfection on all counts!
I've been listening to Frank for 73 years, since I was born into a family that loved him and played his albums often. I fell in love with him when I was about 4...I wasn't an easy catch. God I miss him.
I discovered Frank when married my first husband 60 years ago as he idolised Frank. We had every record, tape and book, I felt I lived with the Man. Then met and married my second husband and he loved Frank too! I feel I spent my married life living with Frank Sinatra
Frank Sinatra made me glad that I am a man with his music. BIG was the sound of the orchestration which was food for the soul of a man. Sinatra built on that with his interpretation of the lyrics of the song, always giving a man’s version of the fun in a song or the love of a woman in a song.. Sinatra gave a man in his songs the words of love which is not thought of enough or spoken enough to your woman. Constantly expressing a man’s buried feelings. Frank Sinatra sang a song the way a man should talk to a woman.
Thank you very much , for this thought provoking poetry. I never thought of his songs that way, but it certainly is true. Best Regards from Germany, Tobias
FRANK SINATRA! The greatest singer of the 20th century and to date ! I've been a Sinatra fan for 50 years.Frank was simply the best of the best when it came to singing. Frank did it all it all - from ballads to up-tempo songs! May God bless Frank Sinatra!

I remember a cold, lousy November day at an outdoor market in London once, with the wind blowing everything about as people scurried to get in out of the rain. Then I heard this track playing on a stereo somewhere and all was suddenly right with the world.
He didn't love only London but all the places where he had been , for instance, Rio de Janeiro. I don"t remember the year because I was very young. He will always be in my mind. I saw him on a TV channel. Perfect as ever
"For Once In My Life" For once in my life I've got someone who needs me, someone I've needed so long For once unafraid I can go where life leads me, and somehow I know I'll be strong For once I can touch what my heart used to dream of Long before I knew someone warm like you Could make my dreams come true For once in my life I won't let sorrow hurt me, not like it's hurt me before For once I've got someone I know won't desert me, and I'm not alone anymore For once I can say: "This is mine you can't take it" As long as I've got love I know I can make it For once in my life I've got someone who needs me
Frank Sinatra is no doubt the best singer, his voice is as perfect as his language. It's a great wonder that once he came from the heaven to make people happy. GOD'S GIFT.
The first time i heard this song was with Stevie Wonder and I loved it, but now, WOW, I'm speechless and Frank just proves that he will always be the best, once again.
The footage was just as good as the song. 2 minutes of my life that I can never get back passes so fast, and I am proud of how I spent it. Thank you Frank Sinatra, you truly were the chairman of the board.
I first saw Frank Sinatra when I was quite young in the film with Doris Day, 'Young at Heart' and I fell in love with his voice and with him. He's my No. 1 for me. I love his song with his daughter Nancy singing 'Something Stupid'. 'Old Blue Eyes' and 'The Voice' - you'll never be forgotten.
I am from Italy, thinking in the schools the English course for kids could be replaced by just a 1 hour Sinatra's singing listening, better than any book
