〈只為世間的美景〉歌詞取自英國十九世紀詩人皮爾波因特，於 1864 年所創作的基督教聖詩,據傳是詩人在春天時，受到家鄉英國西南部鄉間自然景色啟發，在滿懷喜悅下所寫成。全詩在讚頌造物主創造了美麗的日月星辰、山水花木和四時輪替的風光美景，也賜予我們眼睛和耳朵去聽和看，能用心去體會和感受和諧的聲韻與景緻，並提醒我們身邊的親朋好友，這些祂所創造出來的豐富了我們的生命歷程，這一切我們都要頌讚以及感謝。

首段以降 B 調頌讚生命受創造而美好，由女高音唱出主旋律，貫穿全曲；次段男聲加入齊唱，再開展成四部。第三段轉到 G 調呈現人間處處有恩情，男聲唱主旋律，女生高音和聲；第四段又轉以 B 大調讚頌上主的恩典，四部齊唱進入高潮，以節奏的轉換(2/2、3/8、2/4、4/4)創造新鮮感，自然變慢而進入尾聲；最後，女高音領唱主旋律，其餘三部和聲緩緩匯合，餘韻無窮，彰顯生命的永恆。
