Welcome back, Tom Dumoulin!
We are excited to reunite with the former Giro d’Italia winner, who retired in 2022, to share his passion for cycling and inspire more people to ride.
“During the best years of my career, Giant supported the teams I was riding on. My best results were always on Giant bikes, so it goes without saying that I’m thrilled to now be an ambassador for the brand," said Dumoulin.

To me Tom sealed his fate as a legend in the sport when, during the Giro d’Italia, he dismounted from his bike, took a dump, remounted and went on to win the GC at the Giro that year. The stuff of legend.

I had a Giant TCR when Tom won the Giro. I was a bit sad when the team switched to Cervelo in 2019. The golden years were when Giant and Tom had each other.

As someone who was looking at being unable to ride again I can understand the urge to get back cycling. I hope Tom can enjoy cycling as much as possible. For me it meant a recumbent bicycle, for Tom it meant a different kind of recalibration. What's important: we can both cycle again, and enjoy pedalling.

Amen! I'm glad to hear you're improving. I broke my spine and herniated several discs in a workplace accident, and thought I'd never be able to crouch over the bars again. Amazingly, my mobility has improved to the point of nearly being able to hold a TT position! My goal is to (tentatively) make a race or two sometime early next year, and see how it goes. I want to keep racing as it was something I seriously loved, but I'll take it slow and cautious for now. Still, can't wait to break out the old Giant TCR and Trinity!

was lucky enough to meet Tom in an airport security queue about 7 or 8 years ago. A really humble guy, he was so modest despite just coming back from the Vuelta where he'd nearly won. Fascinating chat and probably inspired me to ride my bike that extra bit harder and further, cheers Tom.

Great to see Tom smile again riding on a bike! I am glad to own at Giant TCR Advanced SL in the late Sunweb Design (white-black-red) and it reminds me on each ride what a great racer Tom Dumoulin was. All the best to Tom and keep having fun as long as possible!

Not sure how the heck I missed this, but this is great news! I was really disappointed when Tom decided to leave the sport (which is what partly led to me stepping away for a few years myself) but I never wanted him to push himself to the point of hating it. Super glad that he's found the love of the bike again! And, as a huge Giant fan and brand loyalist this is the perfect match! Tom + Giant = awesomeness! 💪🏻 Can't wait for my first race back next year too. I'll be repping the Giant Brand in all disciplines. 🤙🏻 It's exciting to be alive.

Sometimes I wonder “what if…” about his career, but then again I think what we all can learn from Dumoulin as person is so much more valuable and relatable than a stoic pro with triple his palmares. Beautiful film. I didn't know much about Tom du Moulin. I didn't even know he'd won the Giro. Glad to see that he's back in love with cycling. Good luck getting the BB 92 bottom bracket to not chew up your watts and crank spindle.👍 Sadly, I have 2 22' Carbon MTBs with Sram UDH and both suffer from ovalized, or not-round BB cup interfaces.
