They knew each other since the early 90s from the movie Hotshots. My favorite scenes from the show are when it’s just them, minus Charlie’s annoying girlfriends.

Charlie was leaving every scene in a bodybag, he raised everybodys game while Being effortless at the same time. Even in the bloopers he rarely misses till the later seasons
Sadly , my mom did this...A lot. She picked fights thru our entire cross- country vacation.Ten days. Including fights at 30,000 feet. It was years later that i learned she had suffered social anxiety. and vacations were hell for her
@@albiceleste101 I have extreme social anxiety and while I normally go completely silent and stiff as you say, I sometimes lash out while on vacation with my parents out of fear. It's hard to go on vacation with people who are not aware of your social anxiety, as they keep doing things that completely terrify you, which means that you sometimes just lash out unintentionally since you're under so much pressure the whole time.
I know how Jake feels. My dad and my stepmom always bicker the crap out of each other, and it's really annoying. Made me thankful that I moved out because I don't want to go back to their house anymore. I can't blame Jake for not wanting to go to Charlie's beach house anymore.

You know looking back, I am hard pressed to find not a single encounter with my mom and dad in it, He was an alcoholic, she was an overprotective mom, who says I skipped class oh him, eff him right. Jesus it was an accomplishment I even made it to university. By the by, no mean comments is allowed, they just aren't..
I'm sure we know the real reason that Charlie never wears his glasses is because he's so vain and thinks chicks are turned off by a guy who wears glasses. Alan says he's got a teeny bladder and it's genetic and Charlie thinks that's another reason he thinks Alan was adopted. Makes sense, since he and Evelyn don't have teeny bladders.
