Thanks! Great thought. I feel ya as I’m in the northeast. The good thing is this design is somewhat modular. So I’m evaluating a low thermal conductivity top crown piece. the threads in the base are still aluminum. I just need to make it still look nice together
I know you’re a Yoda guy. But PLEASE make these for Nissan Xterras and Frontiers. The Nissan community is extremely loyal to good vendors that make quality products! And I want a cool shift knob for my 6 speed Frontier!
Awesome setup. I have been watching your videos for some time and not sure how I missed the products you are producing. Definitely going to have to get my hands on these.
Nicely engineered product, I have been testing out this shift knob for couple of months and it's functionality is unmatched by any other product on the market.
Very nice shift and transfer case knobs! Love your channel Kai. In the future do you think you'll be coming up with 4runner accessories such as front bumper, rear bumper with swing out, rock sliders, etc.?
Thanks for the interest! It was mainly because the different shift boot attachment which I haven’t got around designing one yet. I had a few customer fitted the 3rd gen manual shift knob on 2nd gen manual. If you’re interested, shoot me an email at info@tinkererdesign.com
Do you plan to make a 98-02 100 series compatible transmission knob? I don’t see why it hasn’t been done, there are so many cheap aftermarket knobs that you can just press down to activate button feature.
if you have the H2-H4-N-L4 transfer case shifter, the 5th gen transfer case knob will fit. However, I do not have a transmission knob that fits button actuated shifters.
thanks for the interest! some 3rd gen transfer case can take the 5th gen transfer case knob. if the shift pattern matches, it'll fit! The 3rd gen transmission is button actuated. I may develop one in the future.
Yes sir. Here is the link for 100 series. For 1998-2002, pick "transfer case only". For 03+, you can replace both transmission and transfer case knob. tinkererdesign.com/collections/ranger-series-shift-knobs/products/land-cruiser-100-series-lx470
I’ll probably expand to 4th gen in the future. Unfortunately the one for 5th gen doesn’t fit. The transmission shifter sinks down too low when shifted to L gear
I wanted to purchase one of these for my 22 4runner trd orp and they have no contact number to call with any questions, so I emailed them and hopefully someday someone will reply!!! Get a phone number people, a lot of old timers wanta speak to a human being to place their order.
Hey Mike, glad we already got in touch yesterday. I'm a small one man operation focusing on making new and unique designs. So unfortunately I cannot offer a public phone contact like larger companies. But I usually get back to email inquires within 24 hrs like we did. Hope I'll grow large enough one day and hire a receptionist!
@@TinkerersAdventure i am looking forward to Gen 4 4runner! Very cool and well thought out product. I recently found your channel and very much enjoy your technical content. Top notch
All toyota manual shift knob uses M12-1.25 thread. So any of my manual shift knob will fit. The only caveat is that I don't have a plastic clip to attach to your factory shift boot.
Almost makes me want to sell the Ol' Tundra and buy a model you make a shift know for. Ha ha ha! Ok, not quite... I heard her start crying out in the driveway when I said that. Awesome looking knobs!!!!
Awesome idea; Congratulations! I love seeing people come up with new business and product ideas. Small businesses are the heart of this country. Keep it up!
Looks like it just need a thread adapter from my 4Runner transfer case knob. I won’t have your shift pattern patch but you can always custom make one and put on some Velcro backing. Email me for more details!
If you'd like, send a picture of your shifter area to info@tinkererdesign.com and I'll see if anything fits right away. The good thing of this design is its expandability. I just haven't got to the older models yet.
I couldn’t test fit because we don’t have hilux in the US. But looks like it should fit. If you’re interested, send me an email at info@tinkererdesign.com!
