He feel off a beam and broke both heels. The doctors have recommended surgery, they said it could’ve been worse and that he’s ok.

It's better to leave the herbs as while as you can after you dry them. When you crunch them, it releases the flavorful oils at that time. By crunching then when you use them, you get more flavor. If you had some seeds foe herbs, you could grow some in the house over winter. That way you'll have fresh herbs also. I grow chives, cilantro and basil , and thyme over winter in the house.
