To sue for defamation you have to be able to show financial damages either currently or by opportunity loss. For example demonitization, deplatforming, or advertisers leaving. Ironically these lying trash people doing hitpieces & failed cancel campaigns have helped their targets & grown their audiences.
@@thatnobodyguy1535 it's difficult to prove defamation, as we saw in the depp/herd trial. But he might have a case for harassment and get a restraining order.
@@joshuamaurer9784I agree. He needs to have these people served with a cease and desist order, this shit is getting way more out of hand than it needed to. Though like the other guy said, you gotta love the irony of how it’s benefitted them lol.
If Forbes is willing to let one of their journalist's lie about a TV show, I can't imagine what else they lie about. This just hurts Forbes as a brand. What little is left.
I wouldn’t ever say stop even if he apologises to theory. The likes of Tasso need to be out of the entertainment business for good, he is the type that will ruin it for his own gain
@@Bert-lw1otoh yeah for sure. They’re such cowards they would be crying like babies if anything real came their way. Theory said that he passed this stuff on to his legal team, so stuff is about to get real for them. Going after someone’s money is beyond crossing a red line. They will get theirs soon.
Serious outlets, like Forbes claims to be, would have fired Tassi by now for his behavior, particularly, and not only, because his actions opens them up to a lawsuit. The victim card they play after the fact continues to be a hallmark of their derangement.
If there is a Star Wars civil war then Kathleen Kennedy and Disney brought it. They took from us what we enjoyed growing up and turned into marketing campaign for feminism and LGBTQ+ Yes,you damn right we're pissed off about it and we have every right as a Star Wars fan to voice our opinions and disapproval.
So what I’m hearing is “Wah, they’re being critical of us destroying their cultural arts with wokism so let’s pay for Forbes to try and put out a hit piece on the critics and fandom”. Disney do you like MONEY ? Then listen to your fandom those are your money stop being provocative.
Paul Tassi is such a beta. I posted a comment on one of his threads responding to Theory. I said, How about, just stop making articles about Star Wars Theory. Disney Star Wars has been hot garbage fanfic. Then he blocked me within a couple hours.
I agree with those who say there needs to be lawyer involvement. Apparently these people and Disney don’t like the free speech clause of the first amendment
Star Wars used to be the largest IP to ever come out of Hollywood. No more. Disney has burned it to the ground and salted the earth where it was built.
FYI Tassi was involved in another cancelation campaign in the Destiny gaming community. He is an SJW and will always amplify that side. At best, he is a blogger that writes about Destiny.
You know it’s people like Forbes and all of these other detractors really makes you not want to engage with the Star Wars or any other fandom communities at any point, I’m glad we have a place like G&G to fallback on.
You have things like House of Dragon, Penguin, Shogun. That get acclaim. And all with diversity and strong females...but when those same people hate Acolyte or shows like it. They claim racism or sexism. It makes no sense.
The attacks on the actors is meaningless to Disney, The acolyte had next to no audience for its Budget. It released on a wednesday and was forgotten by friday. Disney would throw the actors of a show into a fiery pit If they got 2 billion minutes watched for 8 eps
Paul Tassi follows the same formula as every other woke snowflake. He'll shit on you for not liking your opinion, lie about you, attack the people who support you. Then when he gets push back they'll scream he's being harassed and threatened. Feminists did this Game devs and journalists did this during Gamergate. Companies did this Actors did this. Most of the time those claiming they were harassed were lying. Tassi said someone found out his cellphone number and texted mean things, even showing the texts. This may have happened but given how easy it is to fake text screens I wouldn't be surprised if he made it up.
I am an avid supporter of hate directed towards actors who are terrible at their...and I struggle to say this without suffering, jobs. Furthermore, the fact that "actresses" such as Sydney and Dakota got a free pass for their utterly pathetic performances in an undeniably bad movie baffles me slightly.
This journalism of trying to make the worst cases as the norm for a fanbase is as old as the internet because it gets clicks and no editors are calling them out on it
I liked Finn in the force Awakens then they emasculated him the Lead actress dumped him for a gay Sith with a daddy complex. They turned Luke in to a puke Killed off Han and Carrie died and the didn’t even reunite them.
Tassi needs to just be fired from Forbes. Other than him, Forbes is usually pretty good on reviews, but the instant you see a Tassi review or post there you know it's gonna be extremely bias on literally everything he does.
They think a few bad comments/actors are the equivelent of the whole because that is how they think. They are constantly correcting the lock-step of their community. We have multiple examples of mass attacks by one side but only isolated examples of small groups from the other. We see SWT constantly telling people to not attack/harass others, we are yet to see any of these journo's add a similar statement with their publications.
Important distinction to make that I don't see many people discussing: liking something and that something being good are not mutually exclusive. What do I mean by this? The criteria to judge quality are not necessarily the same criteria to judge an individual's opinion of said piece of entertainment. This infatuation in our culture with marrying "opinion" with "quality" needs to stop, because the two are completely different concepts. Disparu explains it perfectly, explaining that these people (writers/activists) aren't creating entertainment for customers, rather they are creating extensions of themselves. When we (the audience) dismiss or reject it IN ANY WAY, for quality OR enjoyment reasons, they feel as though a portion of themselves has been rejected. It's a terrible way to approach entertainment...
Well, we reached the demolition man timeline... still wondering if reaching the terminator 1 & 2 timeline, now, will be considered worse or an improvement...
The Acolyte is not the most hated Star Wars product. That honor would fall to the Star Wars Holiday Special. It was so hated, that George Lucas himself tried to destroy every copy in existence.
I was hoping for the Finn arc to be real and for the reunion of Luke, Han, and Leia. Instead they squandered the greatest opportunity to establish the next generation of Star Wars.
I loved Percy Jackson lightning theft and sea of monsters but it got cancelled because of poor box office, poor performance and changes of its lore in the show does that mean everyone who didn’t like it is racist or homophobic? NO it just didn’t do well and had issues with casting and changing things from the book just like Star Wars has been doing. Crazy how people can’t take accountability like the cast from the Jackson series. Crazy how certain people hide behind a certain group to use as a scapegoat because all they gotta do is say xyz
Tassi is no different than SW Explained in that he is jealous of Theory's success. Forbes' willingness to publish his lies makes people suspect the integrity of the entire publication and damages the reputation of everyone associated with it.
I followed paul for a long time since i play destiny 2 but i jad no idea he was posting these articles. I had to unsub from him as this is unacceptable.
We are all different, we all like, dislike, love and hate different things and that's the beauty of it all, isn't it? We can share different views on things and gain a different perspective on our own views on things. Like, "Did you notice that poster in the back of this shot?" "No I didn't, why?" "Cause that poster highlighted why this and that happened in that scene!" That's the whole point of having different views, you see things your way, other people might see something different and that's okay. Back when you couldn't rewatch stuff over and over again, we would share our views of a single movie sitting, in the school yard, over and over again and get all the little details that we might have missed ourselves and that was beautiful, it could turn a OK movie into a great fucking masterpiece, in a single conversation. It could also turn a masterpiece, into an absolute shit show, cause your initial perception of it, was wrong and that's okay too. It's called being a human being... PS: The massive amount of fandom that supported and backed (and still do!) John Boyega when Disney openly removed him from posters, downplayed his character into the ground and basically blacklisted him in Hollywood, why aren't they talking about how toxic and racist that fandom was then? And where were these people and the Forbes article about this? Cause it didn't fit their message... PPS: Molly is the classic case of psychopathic, narcissistic, sociopath disorder. Stop it, get some help...
There's Star Wars fans, then there are tourists to the franchise. The people who like the Acolyte are tourists that don't grasp the series as a whole and can't see how damaging it is. Same for the sequels.
When someone brags about striking someone else then only will retract on his terms on X. Fritanga got a Playstation Fanboy so butthurt and is having a lawyer right the responses now so theres no doxing possible which is what the striker has done previously to others
Adam Sandler movies depends upon the movie. I like 50 First Dates and the Cobbler. I didn't care for Pixels, but I'm nerdy/geeky enough that i wanted to. I haven't actually seen most of the rest.
The thing is About The Last Jedi is This: It Destroyed and Divided The Star Wars Fan Base. And Created 2 Fandom, Disney Fandom, and George Lucas Fandom, in the Star Wars Society... The Thing About The Acolytes is This: Not only did it Put a Permanent Stain on George Lucas's Fans of Star Wars. It was The Last Jedi-type Destruction for almost ALL of Disney Star Wars Fans that Disney Created from The Last Jedi... This is what I learned, Observed, and Theorized, these Past 8 Years, Watching RU-vidrs Talking about Disney's Molestingly handling of George Lucas' Star Wars...
The biggest tell is that the author didn’t contact the people they are condemning or give them the chance to defend themselves. Even tho he’s gay Ryan Kinel loves Bree Larson?
I do have one disagreement with Geeks and Gamers about Kenobi. I actually liked it because it ties back to The Prequels. It also seems to answer some questions about points made in A new hope. I agree that it could be better though
Paul Tassi and those like him are the ones creating this supposed "civil war," be it for financial and relevance. The majority of Star Wars fans have dropped Disney Star Wars. That is shown by views on Disney Plus, sales on merchandise, etc. Two of the biggest Star Wars fan RU-vid channels, which one being Theory own has been getting attacked the last couple of years by people like Paul and those shilling for Disney. Even when Theory was earlier praising, say the second season of the Mandalorian when it first came out. Paul and a like were mocking him. Even the "lore master" for Disney Pablo Hidalgo in 2020 mocked Theory, and only after online backlash "apologized" Theory hasn't started any of these created conflicts over Star Wars, and it has only been started by those like Paul. Theory defending himself is being described by these bad faith actors as attacks or blaming some of his viewers with BS takes.
I saw this last night. Theory gives a Master Classes in exposing grifters, ideological persecution and adherents to cult like behavior. Long live Rebellion against the woke agenda!
By their logic: the activists, writers, directors, actors, journalists, employees, execs, content creators are directly responsible for any harrassment, hateful or targetting behavior online and in-person against you, Gary, Drinker, MauLer, Theory, etc. The franchises' fandoms already were welcoming, tolerant, inclusive and accepting. The ruination of those franchises (to many og fans) along with the attacks on the original creators, stories, fans, heteros, men, and specifically straight white men, caused the fanbase's frustrated reaction and eventual abandonment. The fanbase was not a huge group of istophobes but those labels were slung so often that they're no longer taken seriously. So these journos, actors, and studio people, content channels and the shills need to attack the intended audience this was made for, for not keeping the ''new business'' afloat. Obviously the new ''community'' isn't supportive of the changed franchise content.
Only reason I visit star wars explained and that group is to see how many subscribers they're losing. So far, explained Is losing a few thousand subs in the past week. :)
why can't you just commit to the we hate star wars tag? i fing HATE starwars now. i want them and everyone that's a part of them to have no home or food ( youtube sensorship on your channel? lol ). these apology videos and explaining yourself is why i have no respect for g&g nerdrodic cd or any of you.
