Excellent video, thank you! Such an important album, one of their best. I remember being taken aback when it came out, since I was hoping for more “Twisted into Form”-like material. The menacing darkness of “Distortion” quickly grew on me, though, and it became one of my all-time favorite albums. And this performance … chef’s kiss!
Bro, I'm gonna argue and win instantly. Their first 2 albums, Forbidden Evil and Twisted Into Form were better. I am not saying this isn't good. That's my good friend playing the drums in THIS REHEARSAL. But this isn't better than those 2.
@@JudasSlays2426 haha, it's all good my man... I love all those albums! The first two albums are metal classics. It's just that in it's own way Distortion was such a great album and it deserves much more recognizing for experimenting with modern progressive metal. Giving inspiration to bands like Dream Theater and Nevermore. It had something quite unique going on that just clicked with me at the time. Where more traditional Bay area thrash metal, sadly were on the way out. I try to separate the to first albums and Distortion, into kinda Forbidden 1.0 vs. 2.0, if that's makes sense? Hard pressed, I would say the Forbidden Evil album. As a young kid, that album almost saved the genre to me, being so technically impressive. I know that they changed their sound quite a bit later, but I respect them for trying to evolve and pushing the boundaries musically. I regret that they didn't get more support from their record company. They deserved a much more successful career. To me, they are in my personal hall of fame, among the very top of the finest metal bands from that time period. Oh, and Steve Jacobs, is such a talented drummer. Love him on those to last albums. 👍 🤗Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker. 🙏
Some of the best thrash bands ever” never made it to mainstream super stardom. And they are better in many ways” way better.!!! Forbidden albums kick fucking ass”.
When I talk with Matt U. Of Militia and Tims days with this sickness.. My talks with Tim during this and he encouraged me to keep playing. I do cry my friend
This is so cool.Monster drummer and that lead from Tim is insane.Only question-why does the camera avoid Craig besides some close-up grainy body views?
Always liked this album but maybe appreciate it more as you get older. Similar situation with Testament's Ritual. It's always been at the lower end of my ranking but on recent listens, I like it a whole lot more.
they say Clapton, was one of the greats ...... Id like to see him play THIS. See one of these guys could learn a clapton song, but could Clapton learn something like this? Whos the real musicians. - fkn Masterpeice here
