the result is amazing !! this sculpt looks great and you perfectly placed your colors ! I finally finished my masamune Vidar, the kit was a huge pain in the *ss, warped, twisted.... but with the help of your video about resin kits, it gave me enough confidence to build it. And now i'm pretty happy with the result
Hey, thank you so much for your kind words! I am glad I was able to help. I may not be a resin pro, but I am glad my little experience can give you the confidence to tackle your kit! If you have an Instagram, feel free send me the kit so I can see the finished results! 😁 Thank you so much for your support and I wish you all the best in the new year!
Spectacular! If I understood correctly, after the primer you sprayed a coat of Mr. Surfacer 1200, right? Masking is truly fun. Your results are awesome. How long did it take to complete this job? This type of video format is very cool! I like very much when you comment, but just images and music is a nice change.
He finished the surface with grey 1500. That stuff is know to have very fine particles so it leaves a very smooth finish without having to sand the primer down.
Not seen Purple Power before, and was that just water afterwards? Are you not scrubbing the pieces, or do the solution break the mold release agent down all on its own from just soaking?
Hey! Great Questions! Yes, the second thing I added was just water. Basically diluting it too stretch the jug of purple power. If you don't have access to it, I hear Simple Green is another option, but I haven't tested it myself. Normally I would recommend scrubbing the pieces after an initial soak in the purple power, but since this was a second soak after a thorough sanding, I didn't give it a scrub. Just a rinse in some water and driend off. 😁 Hope this answers your question and best of luck to you! 😊 Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
