Forced to Evacuate RV Park Under Water: River Plantation RV Campground in Pigeon Forge Tennessee

Wow! This is terrible. Water is so powerful. We had the same thing several times here last season. We evacuated the park 2 times. It's amazing, where does all that water come from? So much destruction. Campgrounds manage it the best they can, but it's difficult. Thanks for sharing this, always a consideration when you camp next to a river or stream.

Hello, this is unbelievable! thanks for sharing. We were just there in December. It is hard to see our campsite under water. We never thought we would see the water so high there! Stay safe! We enjoyed the video☺️

I have been to Pigeon Forge many times in all seasons and have never seen the river flood anywhere near like that. That is some incredible footage you got in these videos! I'm glad you got out safely and hope everyone else did too.

wow we stayed there last year, That campground does sit pretty low but I never would have expected that level of flooding.

Thanks for showing us all this. So glad you guys are getting out. You are a regular Anderson Cooper during Katrina.😂You cut that pretty close brother. It is difficult to make people understand, that just because it stopped raining where you are, doesn't mean the water is going to stop rising. It could be raining still upstream or it may have not even leveled out yet. That is how most people get caught by surprise. Stay safe!✌️

I’m glad that you were there to move your RV. So many people live year round in the RV parks in Pigeon Forge and don’t own a tow vehicle to move the RV when the rivers flood. We’ve twice had to evacuate our 5W from our campsite when staying near Wears Valley Road (Pigeon Forge). Little Pigeon River seems to flood every year. Stay safe my friend.

Dang all that flooding you guys get over there..I hope everybody makes it to high ground..beautiful country, would love to have a bit of acreage down south but seems to be a roll oc the dice of where the heck you could be safe.

Feel bad for your all. 1st hand experience. Few years ago I was caught in middle of major flood @ White Sulphur Springs WV. I was lucky. I was 1 of few had water but no damage. Hope Red Cross & them other type there helping now. I keep trying give them money for hot food/cleaning supplies/ other needs they bringing me. I lost like $245. Just In frozen food. I just went store stocked up day before it hit. Lost all food. Help save many life's that day about went down river myself. I was not properly prepared. People needed help hard say no I don't have my wet suit & ropes ECT. I was on my way work 4.pm to 4 am. I sleep through most rain. River raised about foot & 1/2. Just in like 90 mins I was down road police told me no work for you today everything flooded go back home while you can. Thank God lifted up 4X4 truck I was in with winch. Amazing I was not in background on tv. Everywhere I looked news cameras & choppers was there.

Oh wow. I hope they are turning off the main breakers that are feeding all of those pedestals that are under water. We stay at the RV park that is all the way at the south side of the strip. I Imagine that it is completely under water.

I stayed at an KOA at Gatlinburg. One minute river was low and ducks feeding off bottom. Next hr I see the river was full of fast water. They must have a damn that releases water. Then 2 hrs later it was low. That campground gets flooded at times. So If there is a big rain event I can see how this happens. The camp cottages look like the KOA cottages. Next to the Old Mill restaurant. Cant tell if its KOA though.

new to your channel- my sister in law live in wears valley on a hill her culvert was flooded and she just about made it out i live in upstate NY, had a bad snow event here yesterday

It's truly amazing how fast the water will rise and take over. Did you say you guys can't leave the campground now? Are you trapped in? That thought scares me!
