I do have a series of videos that are intended for crocheters learning how to knit! Not sure if you've already checked them out but I have a playlist on here :)
I've been crocheting for a long time and I've just started knitting. It's actually a lot of fun! Making small swatches have been the best thing for me so I don't overwhelm myself. I'll eventually make an actual wearable piece, lol. You can do it, Jaida!! :D
This was fun to watch. I was taught how to knit in my early teens AND THEN someone taught me how to crochet and I dropped the knitting needles and picked up my crochet hook and started crocheting and never went back. Today I find myself wanting to knit again because I love the look of knitted patterns but my fingers and hands are just not as nimble and don't want to cooperate lol, I, just like Jaida am determined to do this no matter how many times I drop stitches while transferring. I will get it and you will too Jaida.
I was also resistant to knitting, then a friend showed me her hand knitted socks..instant obsession! I organized a sock knitting class for a group of friends but unfortunately our teacher had to go back home due to Covid. So during Covid I watched videos, frogged, watched more and frogged more...but using a magic loop I made my first pair of socks. Extremely proud of myself. So now I have taught lots of my friends And we have now graduated to 2 at a time. Not bad for someone who could not knit! I always feel the 20kg I put on during Covid, while my husband was baking up a storm was worth it for the socks!
I have tried to teach friends to knit and they always are too confused when I show them the finger gun cast on method. I've had to simplify that for them🤣
