Nissan is Proprietary and can not be programmed with snapon. you'll have to take to dealer or have a locksmith with capabilities do it.

The scan tool has to say Security Access Granted after Ten minutes of accessing the Ford PATS. After that you need a minimum of Two keys to start the car. I just programmed two keys for a 2001 Ford Expedition.

+phil holbrook - This isn't the best place to get a fast answer, as we really don't monitor the comments here, but I think I can point you in the right direction. First thing I would try, if it's a wireless Verus, is to make sure the firmware on the wireless module is up-to-date. This needs to be done every time the software on the tool is updated. Just plug the wireless module into the main display unit using the USB cable that comes with it. Usually when it's a new system / module that was added, and everything else communicates on the car, it's that the firmware doesn't know how to communicate with that module. If that doesn't help, I would try tech support. They can dial right in to the unit over the internet and help fix whatever may be causing this. Their number is 1-800-424-7226. Have you spoken to your franchisee? How about your local factory rep? we have over 120 factory reps across the US and Canada. its the verus that takes the keys. I think theres a software glitch because another guy I know has an older modis that doesn't communicate with 2005 or newer fords. but ill try the number u gave me

Its the Keys it says use k-20 but its the k-17 key needed

those tools are pretty expensive, but well worth it. the credit payment on mine is about $30/week. the software subscription is pricy too, $25/week, but better than paying $1500 for the updates every time they come out. overall, for what you can do with it and the money it can make you, it's really not unaffordable. I don't recommend it if you're not a full time auto tech who's going to use it every day though.

I agree. Well worth it. I work at an Acura dealer and always use my Snap-On scan tool and scopes over the factory scanner. Also helps when we get a non-Honda product come in.

Wilmer Gonzalez You can save money and get an Autel mx808 Maxi Check. It will do it for you without an issue. Along with the bidirectional controls for diagnostic work among other things it does for right around 400.00 dollars. Just make sure the one you get is from Autel America not China because the ones from China you won't get any support for or be able to register it.

Not true. You just need a minimum of two keys that have the correct Transponder Chip in them.

What make of car were you attempting to program?

You need a fancy scanner like his to program keys.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't what the range of the transceiver ring is but if two failed and the good one was close enough then it should still start.
