You seem pretty savvy with electrical troubleshooting. Would love to hear the story of that Ford tractor. Sat for 40 years, wow! And you’re right, it does sound really good. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year! 🇺🇸🚜👍🎄🎁⛄️🎉
Thanks Hyatt! I am very comfortable with electrical. I went to a trade school during high school for computers and electronic circuit design. I will try and get a story video together for the Ford - it really was a unique situation and a great find!
My 8n just did exact same thing yesterday. Looks like a fairly simple process to get it back up and running. Great little machine. Mine is 50's model. 2nd owner. First owner had it 50 years, added a loader and 12v conversion. So far, I've replaced a hydraulic line, welded back a popped weld, and now the key switch wires melted. Turns over, but no fire. Going to replace the switch as well as wires.
I wasn't much of a Ford guy either, but this is my second one. They've definitely grown on me, and they are an awesome little utility tractor for 3 point and PTO work.
