Thanks for putting this together. I've had a Hooker Aero Chamber muffler with Hooker Competition headers on my 5.8L Bronco for the past 19 years and I love the unique sound. The muffler's outlet pipe has rusted through at the weld 3 times now and I can't weld it back on any more. I'm in the market for a new muffler now, perhaps one that is not made of aluminized steel.
I bought my Flowmaster Super 44 based on this video, I assure you it does not sound that good. It's closer to stock sound. It was only $109... so I got what I paid for. 😅
I have JBA shorties on my 93 5.8 w/Bassani Y-Pipe and Aft-Cat Exhaust and it sounds mean as hell. I couldn't a hold of Bassani headers as they are discontinued.
Got an 85 bronco with a roller 351w. With mad dog fender well headers and 45 inch glass packs. Nice and quiet at idle and but when the hammer drops she gets rowdy
the flow fx sounds like a strait six, the 40 is def, most commonly herd, unfortunately cherry bombs need modification to sound good, by far the super 44 sounds my favorite but there are so many variables into making an exhaust sound right.......ive got one of these vehicles and have had over 20 exhaust systems put on it....by me.....chasing that perfect sound.............and unfortunately for these rigs, its almost impossible to get a pefect sound at all rpms.
🥱 All sounded like 💩. Stock heads, stock manifolds, 5 minutes later it revs 😂. Mine sounds amazing. Pacesetter long tubes, no cats, x pipe and straight pipes. With edelbrock heads and intake. Nice and snappy response.
