Both sound good but definitely different takes on the V8 sound, to be expected given the difference in design. But that red Lightening was CLEAN....👌

Oh hell No! This is still way too quiet, these sound no different than a stock Ford Ranger. And that's a damn shame 😕 Owners should have just run open manifolds which is hands down the best setup and provides the perfect amount of back pressure and improved gearing ratio and oil viscosity on these Ford Lightings.

This is actually a Lightning that has been custom designed to look like a Harley Davidson Edition.

The Triton V8 has a better overall tone over the Windsor V8. A street cam and longtubes would help though. I give this one to the "Harley-Davidson" Lightning. The old school one is sweet though.

Those trucks were NOT straight piped Straight pipe = no mufflers, no catalytic converters and no resonators. In other words, NO restrictions in the exhaust system.

That old red Lightning, man, you just dont see too many of these anymore! Tried to buy one new in early '95 but couldnt make the deal happen. 25 thousand was big money for a pick up back then, lol. They sounded good stock, at least back then they did and were prime candidates for all the aftermarket mods,, great time to be a Ford nut!

I give that win to 93 Lighting with 5.8 clean truck by way luv side pipe setup & 03 Lighting is ok but needs more power under hood to match exhaust setup amazing job on Harley Davidson scheme to owner.

It is 100% a Lightning, just has a Harley Shamu paint scheme that the previous owner had done.

You're correct. The HD F150 is not a SVT vehicle so it's not a Lightning.

@@ThatOneFordDude HD F150s are special edition trucks. They did share some components with the SVT Lightning, but the 2000 HD edition wasn't even supercharged. It's a nice truck, but it's not a Lightning and it's not made by SVT.
