THANK YOU!! I had to take my back panel off due to broken clips (still can't find replacements) 3 years ago. Finally put it back on and couldn't figure out how to get the handle back into place. No clue there was that screw back there.
So my 2014 CMAX hybrid drivers side wi down stopped last week, at 1/3 the way up. It’s not a fuse issue bc it has power. Do you think I need to pull door apart? Thanks,
Can you grab the window and move it around? If so, it's probably off the track, and you'll need to take the door apart. Otherwise I don't know. Window lift motors do go bad.
Good video can I apply your technique to the back driver side door. Here’s the problem : door is stuck. Panel seems wedged on the threshold. They separate a little when I start to open door. Don’t want to mess up panel by continuing to pull or push on door. My theory is if I’m able to unhook the panel from the door, they will separate and I will be able to see what the problem is. I think something is jammed between panel and door threshold. Help. Thanks for any thing you can shed a light on.
Sorry to be so long in replying. I had that exact same issue a while back. If I remember correctly I could get in the car and lift up on the door to get it open. Honestly it only got fixed after bodywork when someone ran into me on that side. I y think you might have some luck by loosening the bolts on the door hinge and maybe be able to lift the door up on the hinges. Good luck!
What did you end up doing? Same issue here and the dealership told me I need a whole new door as well. Window goes halfway up and is on the wrong side of the weather seal by the side mirror.
@helloworld101 The mount that holds the track on the door ended up breaking its weld. So basically they went back in and welded it again. Everything works great but it was around $1000 in the end. Ugh...
Hello Mark, Thank you for your tutorial about taking off the door panel of the Ford C-Max. I have an additonal question and perhaps you know the answer by heart!? I need to replace the passenger side mirror and my question is; do I have to take off the complete interior door panel or is it possible that I only remove the plastic part inside the door behind which the bolts of the mirror are mounted? Sorry Jeffrey, I don't know the answer to that. I haven't had to deal with a mirror and didn't happen to notice how it was mounted when I was working on the window. Succes!
Given that this comment is over a year old, I'm guessing you already figured it out but for anyone else in the same boat, I just replaced my passenger side mirror and confirmed you do need to remove the door panel to access the plug connector but as shown in this video it is very simple and straightforward to do.
@@grovefly Thank you Kevin. After backing into my fireplace and mangling my mirror, I'll have to replace it. It doesn't look like removing the door panel will be too complicated.
