what is wrong with a LS engine, how many junkyard engines can you buy for 600 bucks toss a bunch of boost at it and make 1000 HP and it take the abuse. we all know before the coyote engine the ford Triton engines were so so awesome.
backyardbuilttrucks1 The LS is a good engine, it's just that too many people are using it. Eventually, the whole field will be using the LS which is what some people don't like.
the LS engine let's a lot of budget racers get out and race, also it will fit in about anything being as compact as they are. myself I like to keep a Chevy a Chevy and a Ford a Ford. won't own a dodge ever.
MrShorty48 they can't cut down on the ls content until people stop using ls power plants they just film it man although I do agree I love a ford in a ford
This dude gets off the line better than the beater bomb, and frankly any other street legal ride. If the beater bomb had a 6 speed and comparable power he'd get smashed.
how sick would it be if mercury was still around n they had a new model capri, shit would be cool to have a new mustang with dif badging an minor deferences to the body n interior
That thing grips like hell. There is a lot of horsepower/ weight/ grip balance. Its not impossible to take on other cars with 1000-1100HP with launch like those.
Every time I watch this and I see puckett just like fly on by all these other cars I wave and actually say bye out luod. Like oh my God what a cute little Corvetteeeee...but Bye 🖐️ Pucketts too classy to do anything like that but um... This crazy cousin isn't 😬😬😁😁😂
as humans, if we can't logically disagree with something we just instinctively develop a totally irrational hatred and try to push it on everyone around us.
When he says stock suspension does he literally mean nothing has been touched? I mean I see the car squat but I thought if the suspension isn't dialed in the car wouldn't go down the line straight
Why do you American have such skinny front tires? Im a car guy and Im from Holland but my Challenger doesn't have such skinny tires in the front. I have a Challenger Promod TT Hemi 707 direct injection (No Carbs) Carbonfibre body & everything else except the doors are still steel. Planning to do a nitrous setup also on it for the turbo's. Current hp is 2231hp it can do more but I never ever have put in on full boost. With so much power I have wide tires in the front so if I ever go sideways I don't flip.
Jonathan Avitia I've heard them say it before however using steel, aluminium, forged or kast wheels doesn't really have the effect of less weight. I have carbon rims with wide tires in the front (Pirelli Trofeo R). I recommend everyone to use carbon rims in the front because 1 rim only weighs about 8 lbs(mines). Depends on what size you want
4nuk8r I have never been sideways. for suspension I have Öhlins hydraulic so when the car launches It squads & puts the power on the track. Also with this suspension you can make it stiff if you don't want it to squad. I have 3 different diffs setups. I have a Welded diff, locked diff & LSD. The car went fast with the LSD in 1/4 at 6.89 @ 201.41mph the slowest was welded diff for some reason it burns the tires for the 60 foot & then goes like sting 7.99@210.34 mph. The locked diff is fast for me in the 1/8.
I read an article some years back, that just by changing your front tires to skinnies, can shave 2/10th's of a second off your quartermile time, mainly due to less contact patch and less friction. That said, you still want wide rear tires to get the power to the ground (assuming it's a RWD platform). Less weight from the skinnies is only a small and almost insignificant reason why people use them. But any weight savings is good, as I always say.
The Capri was made in Europe (Germany) and sold in North America through Ford's Lincoln-Mercury Division. In 1979, no longer importing the Ford Capri, but capitalising on the model's positive image, Mercury dealers began selling a new Capri that was a re-styled Ford Mustang like this one in the Video.
As an european , I find this ford vs chevrolet thing so dumb, I swear some of these people would pick sides over colors or some shit. Is it really that hard to give props to an amazing car? Is ford or chevrolet paying you to go on the internet and hate? People need some hobbies, they got too much time on their hands.
Basically so that kids that want to be Drag Racers some day can brag to their buddies that they raced "no prep" just like on the street. Hopefully they will grow up some day and become Drag Racers, but I am not betting on it.
