So low engine pressure mean the motor is blown I've heard the water pump goes out on these

Hi thanks for sharing it. Is this loss of engine oil pressure due to engine oil pump belt tensioner? I got engine jumped. My car is pretty much the same, Ford 2018 Focus SE Sedan, 3-Cly, EcoBoost, 1.0T. However, there is a open recall from Ford to replace the engine oil pump tensioner. The total cost to fix it will be around $8k!!! And believe, my car has only 39,500 miles on it. Can I ask for a reimbursement due this factory problem ?

This happened to me about 5 months ago, Had to replace engine. When it says low oil pressure, stop driving. My timing belt broke and caused all types of damage

Low oil pressure. The oilpump is clogged because of the timingbelt. The timing belt looses aramide vibers iin the oil that cloggup the oilpump. STOP DRIVING .. TAKE out the oilpump and clean it and place a new timingbelt and oilpumpbelt. When your valves are making more noise its because the lack of oil. dont drive anymore. If you keep on driving with the low pressure, cilinderhead. , valves, turbo and mainbearing aregonners.

it would be good, for any engine, to have an oil pressure gauge. in this case, you will notice the decrease of pressure way earlier.

JUst use a bluetooth OBD2 and torque you will see the oil pressure and a lot of other cool pressures. 😊

this is not a solution, it would be great to have the oil pressure displayed on the instrument cluster. but wait, does it have a sensor witch shows the actual pressure, or it is only a on/off switch? @@TheGrimmReaper1

Someone overfilled my grandmothers oil when topping it off, the low oil pressure sensor came on. Should I just have it towed to the shop? I’m not mechanically inclined so I have no idea!
