I wish you would of told or showed how you cleaned the magnet. Is the magnet on the sensor or was that a pickup wheel in the hole where the sensor goes
Thank you very helpful. Can a bad tire pressure sensor cause the Abs and traction control light to go on? Got a used 2015 ford edge with 120k the traction control light and abs light turn on randomly when I’m going over a bump or sharp turn. Good video you have a new follower.
@beagledad3814 My Pleasure! No a TPMS Sensor would not cause tthe ABS light to come on! it sounds like you have a bad wheel bearing or a defective sensor / Ring tone!

Thank you for a great diagnostic video. Pretty common to see the ABS and Traction control system problems in a lot of vehicles. Some customers want to fix the issues and some do not care. What is important is that with ABS the anti-skid functions are operational and without ABS the anti-skid function is disabled. My question is: When the ABS and Traction Control system have a fault(s) and the light(s) are on, are the anti-skid functions always disabled? Or only in catastrophic situations such as ABS Module failure and so forth. Can the system be disabled by an errant wheel speed sensor? Thank You K
Richard 1 My Pleasure!! That's a great question, I believe when the ABS Light & the Traction Control Lights are on both systems are disabled because of the malfunction in the system!! to avoid inaccurate ABS activation!!
Personal experience (have a dead left rear ABS sensor, 07 Edge AWD) confirms that none of the mentioned features will work. I took the Edge out in snow today. Got the brakes to lock up, only front wheels are powered, and the stability control and traction control will not work (tires spin freely with too much gas, AdvanceTrac doesn't kick in during squirrely maneuvers)

Thanks for this great explanation of an issue that my car is now showing. Both appeared after my mechanic changed the intermediate steering shaft. They just can’t clear them because they don’t have a good scan tool. Could this be because of bad wheel alignment or something in the steering rack, the steering wheel is also 60 degrees askew.
Bhurtun Suraj My Pleasure!! Since the light came on after doing some work on the steering shaft, I recommend you get the steering angle sensor reset first and see what happens, the sensor might be off center!
Same thing happened with my 2014 escape…rear drivers side speed sensor was faulty. Easy 30 dollar fix in the driveway once I determined which sensor was bad…
I drove around with these lights for months. Lights went away when I removed my 3.5 ton service jack, jack stands and toolbag from the rear cargo area to work on another car. Lights haven't come back since removing.
