My favorite trackday car of all time. The chassis is buildt by Martin Schanche Racing for Jan Arthur Iversen to be used in the Europen Rallycross championship from 1996 to 1999.
It was bought from Iversens in 2006 and an 872 HP strong YB was buildt and fitted. Sadly this chassis was only used one season, as the owner removed the driveline and put it in a genuine Escort WRC shell for the 2007 season.

I still find those Xtrac transmissions the most impressive things about these cars.

Same, and the double damper setup on Martins 93-95 car. There was the same gearbox in this as in F1RX and the Astra, but when J.A Iversen sold the car to Pavel Koutny he stripped it and put the parts in a Focus. (The Focus later was stripped in Norway and the gearbox transmission put in F1RX). It used a FFD gearbox on the tarmac clips and a Xtrac 140 Escort WRC 'box on the dirt track. Facinating cars.

@@TufteMotorsport Oh wow that's really interesting. To think how much abuse and through many driveline parts causing alot more strain, and with what 1000hp +? .. mind blowing. Yeah those double dampers as well... so ahead of their time.

No, Ex Jan Arthur Iversen/Glomma Papp. But Martin helped design/build it. It was identical to his 1996 car when it was new.

I believe so. 892 (921) horsepower in a 2.0 litre YB is pretty wild, especially 13 years ago.
