Thank you very much,! Woke up yesterday morning and my miles per hour needle is 15 miles slower than what I’m actually doing, and this work around works just great rather than spending hundreds of dollars to get this issue fixed, thank you!
Lifesaver man or ticket saver thought my speedometer was off remember seeing this video a while back pulled it back up enabled digital speedometer close to 10 miles an hour difference thanks for uploading
Really disappointed that the truck doesn't automatically show the digital speedometer on the main screen. This should be one of the major features, not a hidden one!
@@gdub14 Mine also has only ONE digital readout, transmission temp :lol:. I expect a bunch more. Why not at least coolant Temp? There is a second screen too, it is blank. It reminds me of some lazy kid who didn't finish his homework :lol:
My 2003 Ford Focus SE does this when you hold down the trip reset button when starting the car. Granted it does not have as many options as my 14 F150, but it does work. Ford seems to have introduced it around 2000 in their vehicles. Good features if you know what you are looking for.
I have a 2013 Ecoboost, do you know if there is a boost gauge? I'm shocked they didn't install one from factory like the diesels have. Always wondered if there was one hidden in the menu.
@@itsoundzgood ok I was just looking at your mpg average gauge. For some reason mine use to look like yours. But for some reason after I held ok to reset the mpg went up for 99 and the green is now up at 40 and the mpg line slowly starts climbing. This is while I'm sitting in park. I can't seem to find any info as to why this jas changed.
I have an aftermarket remote start that shows low battery in accessory mode. It appears you START your truck and it will also go into engineering mode. Is this what you did in this video? I see the RPM are hovering around 6-7 in the video...
I'm trying to find the default code for the keypad on my door. I bought my 2013 used and they didn't have it. Did that code show up when you cycled thru?
No. But I know where to find it. Look at the sticker on your fuse box in the passenger kick panel area. There is a sticker on it and that is actually your door code
If the sticker isn't there, you can get the dash to display it. You'll need 2 keys though. Insert the first and turn to run (don't start), after 4 seconds remove the key, insert the other and turn it to run (again, don't start). Once it does it's "welcome" screen, it'll give you the 5-digit code.
Yes it works ..it just has limited features . ..it works all the way to 2000 Ford F-150 and expeditions . Depending on how big the digital screen is will limit on what shows .
My 2015 truck has digital speed and transmission temp and engine temp and other info digitally displayed Just in ur regular display option with ur gas to empty... This is more for calibration when ur gauges get stocks.. my speed got stock at 80 ones and i just reset it like this..
I did this and a day later the whole instrument cluster had to be replaced. $785. It was telling me I was going 10 mph sitting still with the analog speedometer. Might have been a fluke, but be advised. Warranty covered it though.
Please help to disable the engineering mode!!!!!!! It has completely locked up my 2011 f150 Harley Davidson edition!!!!!! It will not get out of engineering mode, it will not start and digital speedometer DOES NOT APPEAR.
Jessie Nalls just hit the ok button to cycle through and find what you want. Then whatever find and that's what you want just leave it and don't hit ok again and it will stay

I’ve averaged 19.4 for 5 years now and reset it every time I fill up. 5.0. 40 PSI in tires. And that’s with 500 lbs worth of tools in the bed all the time also lol
Look up Engineering Explained‘s video on fuel efficient driving. Beyond technique, A/T tires will perform worse than highway tread. Also don’t speed. Aerodynamic drag is exponential function of velocity.
You are incorrect.. Actually both are correct. "Two Thousand Fifteen", is used mainly by British. where "Twenty Fifteen" is more commonly used in America. Then there is also, "Two Thousand And Fifteen". which is a third way of saying 2015 which is also correct. 2019 was the last year you could say three different ways. The correct way to say the year after 2019 is "Twenty Twenty", "Twenty Twenty One", and "Twenty Twenty Two".
Please don't put your truck in dealer / diagnostic mode. It is there for a specific reason. It is not designed to be driven daily this way. This mode is by-passing some features and functions that Ford designed for the convenience of the consumer.
