When doing this job. Spray all bolts with bb blast. DON'T REMOVE THE NUTS ON TOP OF SHOCKS. just take the 18mm bolts off bottoms. Great video and God bless to all
Fantastic videos. I have an f250 rwd and have a hard time finding quality content until I found your channel. I too am from H town so maybe one day we can link so that you can give me a couple pointers on my truck 🤘👍
You doubled the clearance. I thought that would look to high but it looks perfect. It's longer springs AND the 2" lift kit for 4". The back of my truck is 6" higher than the front so this would work on my truck as well 2010 250 Super Crew Diesel
Yo it’s been a while now running the truck, couple questions. How does it feel, how doe it drive? Did you had to take it to aligned how’s the tire wear
Did you have any problems getting it aligned after all that lift, I want to lift my 2012 f-250 2wd but I’m worried I’ll have to install I beams drop down brackets.
Having trouble putting my 3” spacer on, suspension doesn’t drop enough for me to squeeze them in and the coils springs. Anybody have any ideas ? Already disconnected sway bar and shock
Expensive but you Got me looking for this 7.3 mod 1999-2004 Ford Super Duty Coilover Conversion Kit This kit is engineered for the Carli Suspension Coilover or Dominator Suspension Kits. Finally, you can have the best of both worlds-the reliability of your 7.3L Powerstroke with better ride and handling than brand-new trucks
I'm not sure when you posted this but I was wondering how it is working out? I have a 2000 ford excursion and bought Super Coils SSC-30 HD coils and I have the Supreme Suspensions Delrin 2" coil spacers and the Moog Bushings. I haven't installed anything yet I just wanted to see if you had any issues or regrets using both. For sure I will install the coils just trying to get an idea about using them both. Thank you in advance. I appreciate and subscribe to your videos.
Did you have to do drop brackets for the I beams? I just did a similar leveling kit on my 02 f250 and replaced the cambers as well but it still won’t align without the drop brackets. Only problem is that I can’t find them anywhere online or at lift shops. If you have any ideas it would be much appreciated
I did the same thing and am having the same problem some trucks get lucky and there is enough room for the I beam to clear the ball joint so in my case I’m going to have to grind down the top of the I beam and I’m going to change the 3in spacer to a 2” spacer. And I’m going to take it back up to the alignment shop.
Posting my results. 2000 Ford Excursion XLT 2WD 5.4L. Installed HD SSC Supercoils and Supreme Suspension 2" Delrin Coil Spacers. Positive Camber 6.5° drivers side and 6.6° passenger. Not sure if moog adjustable ball joint and the moog K80109 4° adjustable bushing would have have fixed it. I had to remove my coil spacers and had just under 4° so the K80109 got it in spec. But I needed a Dropped Pitman Arm due to steering binding and not returning to center. That was my result. Thank you again for the video.
@@grierjohnson6323 the HD coils for my 5.4l brings it close to 4 inches and with the spacer almost 6 inches which is more than the Twin I Beam are made to go. I removed the spacer and stuck with the coil springs. I added a heavy duty rear springs plus a 1" spacer on the back. It came out nice.
awesome vid man! I just got my coils and plan on putting them and the 2in spacers in this weekend! saame setup. u didnt have to grind down that little bracket piece on top of the coil?
Hey So I ended up doing the coil spring and spacer, and I have the Moog Adjusters in there, but I’ve been to three different shops and they said they can’t do it, any suggestions? My alignment is way off. New Upper and lower ball joints on each side as well
Michael 6.0 from my experience it’s hard to find someone that can do proper alignments on modified suspension, makes me wish I had my own alignment rack so I don’t have the hassle of finding a good shop
Are the Bilstein 4600s long enough with the HD Coils and the 2" Leveling Kit or would the 5100s be better with the lift? Does the front suspension feel limited with the 4600s?
From the research I’ve done they say it’s ok for only a 2” lift. Suspension feels fine just a bit more stiffer with the shocks and springs but that’s to move expected
@@SwishLifeGarage Thanks for the reply! Your video is the best one I've came across by far. I'm ordering the 4600s, HD Coils, 2" Leveling Kit. I didn't know I would need the Moog Camber Kit so also ordering that and appreciate you showing the part # for that. Hope my 250 looks as good as yours up front when I'm done. Cheers!
@@SwishLifeGarage thanks brother great video... My truck looks about the same as yours when you started... I'm going to use this info for sure... I already ordered the springs
I did everything you did to my 99 7.3 f350 and now the alignment shop says they can’t adjust the camber and it’s bad they said there is no room for camber adjustment between spindle and I beam? What do I do know?? I literally did everything in the video
@@darrylprice7336 what all did you have to buy different to get a 3 inch lift to work. I have a 2000 f350 and I'm 6 inches higher in the back and wanted it level.
SwishLife Garage thank you!! Just bought the same set up as yours for my 2000 Ford F-250 5.4L. However my truck doesn’t have the sway bar, looks different down there. But I will be using your video for reference. 🙏
From Ken Coffey, Hello Everyone.....I'm a car and truck guy...know my stuff....the conversion on an I Beam two wheel drive 2000 plus Ford truck lift is problematic. Yes, you can take new or old front springs and add a two inch lift just as described in the video. Yes, you can use permanently adjusted Moog camber or the most extreme adjustable Moog camber bushing and set to extreme...adjustment of four degrees from factory. . With project complete and truck ready to roll, there is a dangerous bottom negative camber that still exists even with the Moog adjustable camber bushing rotated to extreme. The tires will shred and an unsafe camber will exist. Taking your vehicle to an alignment shop will not fix the problem. They can toe-in align, but the camber bushing still exists at an improper fix. The video was done beautifully and am not judging the value of the project, however as a suspension expert, your camber will always be at least two degrees off with the top of the tires protruding out beyond a plum camber as needed for road safety and proper handling. Solution: You need to change to after market A arms that are specifically made to manage a lift and maintain proper camber specifications. Thanks for reading.
Not true I did this about 10 years ago on my 2003 f350 dually 2wd and I am running 285 mud terrains and I get about 45000 to 50000 miles out of my tires and I tow an 180000 lbs trailer about 6 times a year. I also put a locker on the rear and I never get stuck anywhere.
Hey Rich I have never changed them they are factory and I have never had problems with it. I do rotate my tires every 10000 miles and it cost me $125 to do that but I think that is why I get the miles I get out of the tires! Now I do not take my truck and go out and get crazy in it but I do take it off road but I know my limits. There is a guy on you tube that just bought a 2006 f350 2wd dually and he is going to put a 6 in lift on his and his you tube channel is powerstoke pat so check him out!!
