That's an interesting way to fix the dash. I've never considered doing it that way. I've always mounted the dash side of the bracket to the underside of the dash, an overall longer piece.

Your Welcome, the you tube algorithm at work lol. When you decide to do it go with a wider bracket than what I used in this video like 1 inch or so, and also its a lot easier with the door panel off. If your going to install speakers in the doors as well this is a good time to do it.
Same repair that I did a few years ago on my 95. I used a piece of strap metal instead of the angle bracket you used but either way I'm sure its a solid repair.
Hey, I’ve been trying to find a forum to do the swap I want to do. Maby you or someone can lend some advice. I am planning to do this is in the spring as the snow is crazy in NH soon. I have a 1994 f150 4.9l in-line 6 and it has 235k plus and was my daily but now a project. I’m planning on swapping it to a 7.3l turbo diesel from 1996 as it is the best one. Would it fit the engine bay? I’m assuming it would but I will have to measure the engine bay of the truck I’m swapping it from. I’m buying a parts truck and swapping everything onto my truck because the other one has a rotted frame. I’m going to swap axles and everything like that and obviously gas tanks and lines. My main concern is it fitting and hearing if it’s a possible swap. Any forums? My truck is a single cab short bed so it will be the smallest truck possible with a big engine and is my build which would become an off-road rig as I plan to lift it afterwards bed-line the whole truck white and throw big tires and fender flares on it.
Derek Lawson it would be a fairly easy swap since you have the donor truck to pull the parts from. Everything should just swap over. Ford truck enthusiasts forums are the most active you’d probably find any info you need there.
Steve Stoltz that’s what I was hoping. I’m swapping axles and suspension and everything else...and I’ve tried to find forums for a similar swap from gas to diesel but nothing so far
@@Fishguy13 You may have already moved on from this but a Cummins 4bt is a much easier swap in a 150 and with a modest turbo you can get great performace
