With Arctic Trucks 44-inch conversion (AT44) the light aluminum construction and high performance 3.5 Ecco Boost give the F150 excellent snow flotation on the fantastic 44 inch tire develop by Nokian Tyres in co-operation with Arctic Trucks. I did the first serious test during the last two weekends and even though there are number of things still unfinished and to be added, I was super happy with highway and snow performance, excited to try it other conditions for the comings weeks/months.
On the softest snow it was sufficient to go down to 2.5 psi tire pressure for it to push through and leave behind a well compressed track. With this flotation, this power, low center of gravity and long wheelbase, doing the steeper hills was a pleasure and easily outperforming most other vehicles that came along.
