Yah I bought mine to charge the batteries in my Walleye boat when I'm at remote lakes. Being able to fry pancakes and bacon on the tailgate with my electric frying pan is also very cool. 24 mpg in the city is also a no brainer..
I’ve only had my ‘24 XLT Powerboost for about 6 weeks and 3k miles, but I have fallen in love with it already. Pro Power Onboard, the mobile work surface, adaptive cruise control, 360 cameras, etc make this a big upgrade over my previous’20 3.5L.
Same here, brother. 2nd truck in over 20 years. Coming from a Dodge, and never thought I'd get anything else; but this thing is phenomenal. (And I also carry a duster...thought it was my idea!)
i have been driving f150 since 2016 i think its the best vehicule ever. i drove a powerboost for 2 years also the best ever. now driving f150 Raptor. BRAVO FORD
After 3 Tundra’s bought a used 14 F150 Limited and have ‘loved’ this truck. Then a 19 Limited but out of Warranty and know cam phaser kick in gonads coming. Ordered a new Tremor w/402A and 5.0. Can’t wait !
I have the same truck except mine’s a silver 23 with the 5.0. You can’t go wrong with that hybrid, but man that V8 sounds so good, especially above 2500 rpm. Lack of horsepower and torque, yes, but with 3.73 gears she screams like a scolded cat and I love it! Great trucks no matter which engine you get. Nice video.
2.4 Kw and 7.2Kw are the 2 options for the powerboost Glad you’re getting a lot out of use from it 50k miles !, wish my 22’ tremor came with the powerboost. 24’ models get the 2.4Kw system now
I've never really been a fan of Ford, but I can definitely see the advantages of their trucks. I really like the panel in the middle that can be used as a computer desk it's so convenient. I wish I had something like that. Great video!
My 2015 3.5 Platinum sledom gets over 16mpg on a tank. Generally high 13s to high sixteens are my best. And I dont really know why, but I always got better mpg out in the mountains of CO. But anything in the 20+ range is amazing in my book.
Not sure what way off is too you. When I do the math it's never more than 1mpg difference usually .5. I think you're just looking for a way to bash ford. In my other vehicles nissan toyota and chevy it's the same. At most 1mpg difference.
Nice review! I bought my first Powerboost in March 2022. I just sold that one to my son and I took delivery of my ‘24 Powerboost last week. My experience has been the same as yours; it’s been a fantastic truck and I can honestly say that after 45 yrs of buying and leasing trucks for business and personal use, the Powerboost stands out as the best. I look forward to the PHEV version of this HEV one day.
Hey just to give you a heads up, take the California duster and throw it in the trash if you are using it on the exterior. I’m a detailer and they do in fact scratch/ mar your paint.
I bought a 2024 power boost back in June. I just drove to Boston from Berkshire County in far western Mass. ~130 miles each way, about 70% highway at 65-70mph. I averaged 24.5mpg each way. I drove 60 miles each way several times a month to visit family. All.seco dary roads with speeds of 30-55mph. I'll get 28-29mpg (per This Trip) without trying. My previous vehicle was a 2020 F150 2.7 Ecoboost. It was a great truck, but 20-21mpg was the most I would get with highway driving. 18-20 was average "city" driving, and as low as 16 in the winter.
I tow a 21 foot fiberglass bass boat on a tandem axle trailer and it pulls it like it's not there. No issue. Plus I can charge my trolling motor batteries while I am driving up to the lake...Gamechanger!
I also own a powerboost, almost identical to yours just an XLT. It would have been nice if you had covered issues that you've encountered with it, but otherwise a very informative video that correlates with my experience and reasoning for owning one. 💪
@@scottmckenna That's fair. The shifting can be finicky at times, but otherwise I have not experienced anything negative either, other than the Pro Power Onboard erroring when below freezing. I'll be taking it in for that this winter when they can test it. Otherwise, as long as it remains reliable, I think it is the best truck on the market.
