John McKissack's 1966 protouring Ford Fairlane has become a staple at Optima's Search for the Ultimate Street Car. John nicknamed this the Riverside Spec Fairlane and he's been tracking it on road courses for a long time. But it wasn't until he started running with Optima's Search For the Ultimate Street Car that the Fairlane got a whole host of fancy pro touring parts. Flares, fiberglass everything, Mike Maier suspension etc.. Its almost like if its made for a Fairlane then this car has it. Is this the most well rounded protouring Ford Fairlane getting raced today?
We filmed this episode at Willow Springs International Raceway and Pikes Peak International Raceway. Though we only have on track footage of autocross.
