Ford Fiesta Locking Wheel Nut Removal.
These can be removed without drilling or welding if you are careful. The top of this locking wheel nut is designed to shear clean off soon as you put a typical socket on the top. The top is only held on by a flimsy bit of aluminum that is designed to twist off as soon as you place a socket on the top of the nut.
I used a 21 millimeter smooth bore socket, i.e. not a 6 or 12 point socket. Using a wheel brace turning ever so slowly and VERY gently I was able to remove all four nuts. However this will only work If the nut hasn't been over torqued or seized.Trust me they shear off real easy.. just looking at them can make them fall off sometimes! But just every now and then you can get them off using a conical socket. All four removed just fine.
