Ford Fiesta ST Edition First Drive - Pre-Modified Fun! (feat. PocketRockets)
Hello guys, and welcome back to Car Obsession.
So, you're after a new Fiesta ST, but you want it to come with a few mods already installed? The Ford Performance team have you covered, in the shape of the new Ford Fiesta ST Edition. Only 300 have been brought over to blighty and it will be easy to spot from your standard Fiesta ST, thanks to the Azure Blue paintwork.
Other styling cues that mark this out as the ST Edition are gloss black detailing to the exterior, lightweight 18" alloys that save 2kg unsprung weight per corner and styling tweaks to the interior as well. Power remains the same from the 1.5 litre turbocharged three cylinder petrol, meaning 200hp and 290Nm are on tap.
This means the car is no quicker to 62mph - 6.5 seconds - but it will be faster around the corners. This is thanks to 2-way manually adjustable coilovers that come as standard as well as Quaife limited slip differential. The brakes have also been beefed up, and the steering has been recalibrated to make this ST sharper.
Is it worth the price, though?
