Thank you my friend. You saved the day. I am still confused why PCM instead of shutting injectors down it’s doing completely opposite. I have never seen that before. Today I am getting FPS. I will film fix for sure. Thank you again.😊👍
Hi keith your absolutely correct rabbit holes are part of the job but finding the fault is the ultimate aim and learning not to go down the wrong path the next time Been down a few rabbit holes myself .
Ramon , thank you for the 2 videos. You shouldn't let it rob your sleep though....but that's how we're wired I guess: if it's broken we just HAVE to fix it. Greetings.
Just got new sensor and car is running much better. Still needs new spark plugs and oil change. PCM is still activating injectors like before but not as frequent. Part three is coming soon.☹️
@@kyhomegarage3430 Is it possible that the injector multistrike is a dedicated cold start strategy or is this multistrike also present when the engine is warmed up/all the time? It did not look like a random pattern, the sequencing seemed to be the same for all 4 cylnders.
Ramon, AWESOME find and diagnoses as the say do not go fast but try to go slow and take time off from the problem refresh ur mind and then go back on it for sure you find the answer brother as always good information enjoyable to watch thanks for sharing. cheeeeeeers

Thanks for the videos. It's funny how easy it is to go down a rabbit hole. I'm glad you found this problem. Hopefully it runs smoothly. At first I was thinking it must have been more than one problem that the owner built in by shooting the parts Canon. You also have to question the quality of parts that were installed. Too many times I've seen someone do a "tune up" and they changed MAF and all injectors with cheap Chinese Amazon parts. I get a chuckle when they tell me they tossed out the original parts . 🤣

@@themechanic6117 no timing belt was done six years ago. Its 90% better but I can still see injectors being fired randomly but not as often as before. Fuel trim is still negative but oxygen sensor is switching now as it should and PCM is able to control it. I am sure when I change oil all that extra fuel will be gone. I still worry about plug exhaust. I am definitely making progress.👍👍
GREAT case study, KHG. Looking forward to part-3. How do YOU clean sparkplugs? I've used those tiny, pneumatic, sparkplug sandblasters for decades; they work very well.

I was wondering if tou had checked for the fpr or fps . It's common. As for your inj pulse , it can be easy to get stuck on something. Sometimes it takes a fresh mind or a long break. I'm with ya on the loosing sleep on these things sometimes. Enjoy your videos.

Hi Ramon can you elaborate on the double firing being an artifact of ECU trying to stabilize RPM? Just trying to understand the logic behind it given that the engine is running super rich already.
I really don’t know until I replace FRP sensor. I have no idea why PCM is acting like this. I would expect to see injectors being turned off due to rich condition. I will replace sensor today. Part three is coming soon.😊👍
