A great car. It's amazing that almost the whole production process is automated, but relatively simple but critical operations like bolting the wheels on is done by hand, as it was 40 years ago.
@@metaljew4456 Not every ford focus rolled off the line with a power shift automatic, for us lucky few that got the st or ordered an non st with the MTX75 gearbox they are amazing cars and are becoming very rare find these days. I still have mine and would buy another one in a heart beat tooo.
I GOT A 2019 EXPLORER...happy with it and love it! ford has come a long way...but i hope they consider bringing the explorer back to a full body on frame design and bring back a v8 option for it:) please...the ecoboost i have has turbo lag at certain rpm or when i use the peddle a certain way...in the first 3 days of driving i thought the car had a serious issue...other then that i love it - the front collision detection has worked a few times and very effective...the adaptive cruise control is so cool i was on a country highway and set my cruise limit to 90k per hour and the cars ahead were going 80 so did the explorer...if they speed up so did i and there was a time where it got to 60 and the explorer applied braking to match the speed of traffic up front. It was strange to feel the car stop without my usual manual application. But cool! other features i love is the auto high beams..lane keep assist not so much! also the drive modes surprised me.. at first i though they were gimmicks but snow mod is really good for snow...the suv changes entire feeling of drive mode for it! and it works way better then i imagined! just dont put it into sand mode iF YOU WANT TRACTION in snow...good for donuts and drifting! HOPING FOR BETTER AND BETTER FORD SUV'S IN THE FUTURE!
Except for that odd-shaped front grill, the Focus is a great-looking car in my opinion. The 2019 model is highly regarded in Europe. My jaw dropped watching it being made in the German factory. Beautiful! It is really a shame the Focus and other Ford cars cannot be made, and sold, and driven in this country. Remember how Ford was the most (maybe only) responsible automobile company some years ago when others like GM needed big government bail-outs to stay in business? I have a warm spot in my heart for Ford Company.
Muy buen video, me encantaría poder ver personalmente la fabricación de este hermoso auto, los felicito y agreguen otro, por favor, gracias amigos de Ford
4:46 I remember when the ford focus came out, one of the main features of the car was independent rear suspension so the car would be nimble. Too bad thats gone now.
I actually liked the current Focus. It is a shame Ford decided that cars are unimportant in the North American market. To heck with SUV - I want a sporty small hatch or sedan.
@@StrikeFromTheSkies the 3 just feels not very special to me - also Mazdas in winter where we use salt tends to corrode. The Civic is nice but insurance rates are ridiculously high.
Yeah early production run here when @ 7:16 there's a (Frozen White) Mk3 Focus Titanium X running parallel off the production line, although its new (20% more rigged) chassis & neu dash, also torsion beam rear axle with all the sloth models, excl 3cyl don't see much change in mechanicals, running gear and elect switches from Mk3, I do wish they kept the opposing wipers arms though, you'd think having a $1M robot lining up & putting the panoramic roof on wouldn't need adjustment after lol
Just got the new focus 1.0 litre 125ps (2019 new model) brilliant car the new 1.0 litre engine is much faster than the one in the video and lighter will probably get the 1.5 at a later date.
@@DarthxLuna im considering one for September have you done a test drive? Whats it like for acceleration etc? Ive now got the st line x 1.5 petrol 183ps im concerned i might lose power any info you have really appreciated
It‘s the „I need a break“ bell at the Assembly line. There are colleagues in charge to replace you for some minutes if you have to go to the toilet or something else.
Andy Lee in 1998 was the year when the first version came out. This helped to ford to survive their economical crisis. From that time they have already forgot this, and it can be seen the 2nd, 3.rd version of focus. The latest with 3 cylinder engine is the end
I have a 2015 Ford Focus SE hatchback, love the car. Would have loved to see the new generation Focuses on the road in the US, but I guess that's not happening....that awkward moment when an American company sells better products overseas and we can't get that. RIP
That is why new cars cost a lost of money. It is cheap to manufacture, but they recuperate the cost of the manufacturing, design, testing, advertisement, wages, through the final asking price. Also, robots are essential for fast and accurate production.
Edi Pires I don’t want a crossover Focus. Just give me this Focus which the rest of the world will be getting. Ford is going in the wrong direction in North America only offering the Mustang and trucks.
Hope the paintwork is better now.. The quality check on my 2018 Focus ST was not the best.. Dust in paint, lacking paint in engine bay and so on... Still love the car...
I went to a Ford dealership on a Saturday to buy a Focus. They didn’t have any with manuel transmission on the lot. So I bought a Mini Cooper 2 door for $19500 in 2010 still have it.
Automatic transmission is the future mate, its sad, but real. I like automatic transmission too, but I understand people that don't and I think cars should have manual in the option.
