I only watched this because I wanted to fit my wife's car with reverse sensors or rather she handed me the stuff and told me to do it 🤣 But to my relief there is ample access to behind the bumper from under the car and there was no need to remove the bumper at all and the reverse light wiring for power to the sensor unit is located behind the carpet in the boot, was a pain free job
Mark at 0:30 you show a nut and rubber stop that need to be removed. Well i'm struggling to remove the nut. Mine is corroded badly on one wing and seems to be turning on the other. I can encapsulate the nut with a long reach socket but have very limited clearance to actually use the ratchet. I can just about get one click on it , if im lucky ! at a time :/ Clearance is the main problem. I'm thinking about removing the wheel to help with clearance but would like to know how you would approach this issue ? Your car seems cleaner and less rusty than mine so maybe it wasn't a big deal for you .
I had the same problem, in the end resorted to cut the thread off behind the nut. Gouged the thread out of the bumper (Not enough thread left to refix it, so got a flanged threaded bolt and sunk it in the resulting hole in the bumper. Held in place with araldite rapid, worked a treat.
