Ford Fusion road test 

I've got the '08 model in 1.6 diesel and I've had it for 8 years now. I love it tbh. It's very roomy and comfortable. Although I do find it a bit of a hard ride over speed bumps etc, but I just slow right down for them. I get over 50 mpg in town and 60 plus on a run. Road tax is only £30 a year. The only problem I've had with it is the front suspension springs needed replacing because one broke.

A poor review on this great car. I have just this month picked up a 2010 Fusion Plus 1.6 Auto (pre-owned) for my wife's parents. Both are in their late 70's & this car ticks all the boxes. The height of the vehicle makes getting in & out very easy for them. There is space in the boot to fit the mobility scooter with space to spare. The trim level on the Plus (+) version is high. Heated front & rear screens, AC, electric front windows, Tinted rear glass, parking sensors, Alloy wheels Sony stereo. The auto box is smoothness its self. Which is great as the mother-in-law can no longer drive a manual vehicle, & parking is easy. Running cost are the same as a Fiesta so cheap. If there is a downside its not due to Ford's its the cost of the road tax. £250 a year is steep as its only a 1.6lt. At the end of the day you buy a car to suit your needs & a Fusion could be just what you need.

If only it had roof rails and easily removable back seats.

Completely different fusion than the US has.
