Thank you for the exchange guide, it was very helpful. As far as the mechanical part. I am about to change the injectors as well, but this time I'll buy new injectors. I do hope it will improve my engine's running good.
Hello Chazz I have a MK4 09 Estate and I do my own work with it too can I have dome to fuel injectors with remanufactured ones working good so far after almost a year, i the way i have done them not quite the way you have done them, (i did not unplug the battery or remove fuel pipes for the pump and unplug the fuel pump cable or the injector wire harness neither) all you really need to do is take off the injector plugs and leak off pipes from the injector, unbolt the fuel in pipes enough so you can get the injectors out then that's that. i have to say I am glad you are helping the community with your videos One thing which is very important to mention is that make sure the copper washers come with the old injectors or you are going to have a big problem and make sure to buy OEM leak off pipe washer or o-rings because you may brake the old ones, I have replace all four injectors and the washers too when needed not all at once. that's that really. I am not having a go just tips and additional advice from first hand experience at the same engine Thanks
I have just bought one of these cars. I have just learned they have a wet belt as well as a cambelt. Have you changed your wet belt s or had any trouble?
hi good job only thing i would have done diffrently is put some grease or vasaline on copper washer would have stuck it to injecor other from that good job
Did you need to code these in, mine is injector no 3 went into limp mode as it was stuck open, put half a litre of two stroke oil into a tank of diesel which freed it luckily
I've just blight a mondeo 2009 with 102k injector 1 has gone! Put the old owner into limp mode and im getting a new injector for it in morning, bought it spares or repairs! Result Did you ever do the wet belt?
Hi question my mk4 1.8tdci keeps blowing the bottom rail line to the pump any clue why this would be happening its done 3 in 5 months ,the bracket is missing holding the rail in place could this be the issue ,am gonna fit the bracket tomorrow thanks
@@ChazzCoombes oh right cool, I changed both my rear wheel bearing less than a year ago and 1 is making a sound again ffs hahaha just leaving it as is for now anyway!
@sheffielduk3428 Now that you mentioned it, I remember that it was louder from around chain area, but I only noticed it with the bonnet open, having my head close to that side of the engine. We have two Focuses with those engines, both retrofitted with chains by me, and we haven't noticed that they were louder afterwrds in everyday use. They are not very quiet engines. I used to have Mazda 6 with MZRCD 2.2 diesel engine, and sometimes I looked at the dash to make sure it started 🤣
Unless the Mk4 is reading the injector codes automatically somehow then you should code them. That's the case for mk3 atleast. The codes I think determine the performance of the injectors so anytime they are rebuilt, become of age or get damage the pressure and flow value change and the engine runs bad. So for all those occasions you need to bench test them, get new codes and reprogram.
@@ChazzCoombes thanks my friend. thanks for the explanation. I think I should change them because in the mornings when I start driving in low gears it seems to suddenly turn off. It only lasts 2 or 3 minutes, then it works perfectly. I put 4 new heaters but nothing, 0 faults in diagnosis
