Mr. Buck, Great video, very informative! How did you access the 2 cables at the bracket under the cockpit? They are on top of the driveshaft and welded dual exhaust pipes. I cannot get my hands in there. I saw another video where they unbolted the driveshaft. Did you do it that way, or buy long (3 ft long) Needle-nose pliers?
His adjuster tooth wasn’t making contact with the sprocket until after he messed with it and he put the pin in the handle to take tension off to remove the cables. Looks like the console had to be removed.
At 5:50 I'm pretty sure that extra wire/switch is for the convertible top mechanism. I have the 1998 GT convertible and that's where the switch is located.
Im pretry sure the e brake is supposed to be one the 2nd or 3rd tooth on the left side left to right 1-11 its gotta be on the 2nd if you have the recall adjustment piece 3rd to be safe if you don't
I think it should be self-adjusting. In my case the inner cable was not sliding smoothly through the outer sheath. Disconnect the cable at the rear wheels and make sure the cable moves easily in and out smoothly. If not, replace the cable(s).
Hi there , the issue I’m having with mine is that the cable is adjusted just fine , but there no compression on the caliper , I mean , you see the cable pulling the caliper’s bracket all the way to it’s full position , but yet no compression . I’ve done a bleeding service yet no compression on the e-brake. If any insight could be given it would be greatly appreciated. Awesome video by way.
