I had been struggling trying to find a part. After your video I figured the part I needed was a letter and a number difference between the 2 parts. The first letter and the first number. I hope it works.
The final letter in the revision code is basically irrelevant quite often in sensors they tend to always end in A or B because they don’t revise them very much. The last letter basically gets changed when anything in that particular system gets updated they revise all the parts in that system. So you could assume that if the part number ends AC that there have been two changes in that system but none of which affecting that specific part. It helps Ford diagnose issues when faults happen and they can see when they made certain changes to a system.
Got the AASA-9F479-CB for my 2019 Ford Flex ecoboost. Had a P-0107 and P-0109 code thrown. Had lack of power and limited to 55mph with odd shifting. Replaced and engine runs rough and will barely rev. Put original -AC part back in and idle returned to normal. Bought another part from another store, same AASA-9F479-CB part, seeing if the other new one was just bad
I have that exact sensor on my 2012 MKT W/3.5 ecoboost. I am going to try and clean it with CRC and see if it will work before buying another. It looks pretty dirty though.
I haven’t seen one per say, but if you go to ford and buy the ends you should be able to make one. This video may help ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CxCU25rg538.html
I have a question. I have 06 expedition. The original part number was discontinued. 5L1Z-16138-A Does that mean that any replacement I can find that has the #16138 in the part number would work as a replacement? It's for a radiator core support.
That should be correct, but I would call the ford parts counter to have them cross reference in case an update was made that makes it no longer compatible
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage I've already cross referenced everything. I even got pictures of both and they looked identical. Even the aftermarket one looks the same. Worst nightmare ever on a part. There's no info online anywhere. I had to do weeks of research. I can't find a single person that ever changed an 06 expy core support so I can get their story. Ford is insane. They list no interchanges. I called every junkyard in 🇺🇸 and almost ordered one from some guy with broken English online but I caught myself. It's been an absolute terror.
