This shows you the quick and simple way of changing the PSOM PCB and LCD after proper diagnosis of fault. You'll need a T10 torx screwdriver and possibly a small flathead. Be careful handling the head unit as the needle, needle stops, LCD, and some other components are delicate. You can change the LCD without removing the PCB, but in this video I showed you while the PCB was removed, for clarity. If the face of the speedo comes loose while handling, don't worry! Just center it with your hand and tack a couple edges that don't interfere with mounting or other gauges with your soldering gun and it's as good as new. If you're in very dry climate, ground yourself properly and avoid static electricity as one good sock-on-the-carpet rub could lightening strike your way to a dead PCB. If you want to clean the face, you can use a soft old tooth brush and a mild light dish soap water solution and a soft microfiber towel. Don't snag the needle stops!
Thanks for watching, and good luck!
