Don’t waste your money, just unplug the wire from your negative terminal and it will turn off with no check engine light. It will tell the system not to shut off engine. It’s one simple clip connected to the negative battery cluster. You will see it it’s about the size of a quarter

Perfect. I remove the trim as shown in this video. That is they way to go. Very easy install if you are gentle. Use a small 90 degree pick to push the release tab on the stock connector.

You can buy a $5 night light, or a AC/DC adaptor. Plug it in and the Stop start function is disabled. Or if you have a Phone charging jack for the house use that. Anything Plugged in to the AC port will disable the Auto Start/Stop and you don't have to pull your dash apart.

I would say this is the correct way to do it. You can’t just unplug things and not add a jumper without issues happening. For $80 it’s worth the piece of mind.

An even easier way to disable the Auto Stop/Start is to do it through FORScan.

@@williamhendrix2053 unplugging that will affect a lot of stuff. The battery will become overcharged because it no longer stops charging when the battery is full. It also affect a lot of other things.

Man, I love simple fixes like this! I’m hoping to get a 2021 Ranger, F150, or Bronco within the next few months (mainly depending how long the wait time is for my order reservation). I hope this plug-in is available for all of those models, too! Any idea if you’ll be able to disable cylinder deactivation on the 2021 F150 5.0L? Maybe through a tuning company somehow?

I installed this device recently. I'm so annoyed it doesn't work at all. I spent a good time with my hands pinched under the console while attempting to connect the wiring. The console button doesn't stay on after I turn off the engine and turn it back on. The A with the forward slash across it shows up on he dash but the engine still cuts off at a stop. What a waste. Now I have to go through the trouble of going back in, removing this item and returning it.

So, I might have plugged in the wire to the wrong switch. I plugged to the button in front of the engine cut off button. It looked identical to the wire end you showed on this video. I'm going back and plug it to the outlet right underneath the cutoff button and hopefully that is the problem. Thanks.

Quit ripping people off all you need to do is is pop the hood and unplug a connection on the ground side of the battery

The only downside to removeing the connector from the battery that I have noticed is that you loose the ability to remote start the vehicle from your key Fob.

I looked in the dashboard menu to turn off the autostop, unfortunately there isnt one... but now its second nature to start the vehicle and turn it off. And yes, autostop is annoying af. ;l

No need for all this- unplug the wire (Plug) from the negative battery terminal.

To be clear, the cable you unplug is the only cable into the underside of that set of buttons? Or, do you have to figure out which cable goes to the AutoStop? My AutoStop on my '22 Ranger Lariat is in a group of buttons that include Traction Control, Towing, and proximity alarms on/off on the bottom row and the autostop is a wide button above (forward) of the other three. It feels like there's two cables to deal with. I've received the product but, boy, is it difficult to feel the little tab that you push aside, and, besides, am I pulling the correct plug?. Thank you.

This video is useless. Just unplug it at the battery, and you don't have to tear your interior apart. And everything else still works on the truck. Save the money and trouble.
