Great review Bought my TS50 T3 about 3years ago, its now done 65,000K best car I have ever owned by far. These cars stir your emotions more than any other Ford ever built in Oz.

My dream car. Always thought they looked like a v8 supercar for the road. Had the chance to swap my f6 for one, which I regret not doing. Blue, multispoke rims, low ks, all factory.....

Without a dought, the saving grace of the AU Falcon.

It’s quite ironic that even diehard ford fans thought the au looked shithouse , but having owned a taxi pack wagon for 15 years , I have a developed an unexpected attachment & respect for a car that tows heavy & hasn’t fallen apart over time & has never been garaged , with basic but religious servicing it just keeps on going 451000 & counting , while my missus bf wagon has some ridiculous parts inside that are vinyl wrapped & get wrinkly with uv exposure & it doesn’t steer as well , the auto linkage is plastic crap that had to be ground off & a bolt put in to repair . It has changed the aspirational ford I thought I always wanted a supercharged fgx falcon , I have changed my view , I want a T3 TE50 , it sounds more like an old school muscle car , is bloody fast , even by today’s standards & also has a superior double wishbone irs compared to all later models & no crap screen to go defunct . I would sell the kids for one in blueprint like this one or Narooma blue a close second.

Such a great looking car! It was the first Falcon I was proud of as a kid (I got into cars during the dark AU1 days... :o )

These were an underrated car; can’t beat the sound of a sweet Windsor,they sound so good,these actually had great mechanicals and great looks,but like you,I seen the au and said bloody turtle on wheels, but these were mint,I had a xr8 with a ts body kit in silver with Tickford wheels,suspension and steering wheel,unfortunatly only had the 5 litre,the stroked 347 was a bit of a juice chewer but I’d own it,I have 2006 bf typhoon now

I am a Holden man and HATED the AU. So Ugly. But, I did like the TE50, as you said, Tickford got it right. You have a very nice ride there mate.

One of my all time favorite cars. They'll be very sought after in years to come. Beautiful in my opinion.

For a while back in late 2001 I worked for the fibreglassing place that made the spoiler. Mainly 2 german brothers and an Italian. Based in essendon airport doing a few plane patchups and fibreglassing for kenworth trucks I think. Big aerofoils and stuff for big rigs mainly. Storey has it that the cable for the brake light in the spoiler would start shaking around 140kmh or 160kmh so they made them glue it down inside.

Nice one. I remember these coming out. Shame they were so limited and out of reach for most. They nailed it with the colour.

How well have these cars aged. Such a classic for Australian Automotive design 😍

My mate owns the mercury silver TE, as far as I remember that colour was a muck up in the mixing for the paint, but they decided to roll with it anyway.

Was my favourite car back at high school cool car man an a 13 sec quarter is still fast in 2019 most stock cars struggle to do low 13s

Loved the video, cheers. It sounds unreal, hats off to the condition of it too. I’m ford nutter since my first xe (that cost me the same as one rotor off these beasts, lol). It’s the only car that I’ve ever owned that is worth almost what I paid for it...14yrs after buying it!! I bought TS50 #12 back in 2006, auto, factory brembos, no sunroof :( but I love it cause still today people ask me if I built it and what is it? it cost $39k and is still insured for $35k but I don’t think I’ll ever part with it I still think they are one of the greatest cars to ever be created for many reasons. The fact that they were developed in secret (so the exec’s couldn’t pull the pin on $), they are all locally sourced parts and one of the few fords that did outdo the hsv of the time. I have a copy of the dealers pack from ford and it lists all the points where the T-series is better or same as hsv. Geoff polaties really hit it out of the park with the stroker. I could waffle on for ever over these cars, the greatest fords ever built to not get a GT badge.

Loved these when I was younger

How the hell was the AU considered ugly back in the late 90s early 20’s but now have become really appealing. Looks great even more so with a body kit. And the VT and variants now look like poo. If you can find one on the road still, AU out number commodes by far.

Only time the light's actually look good on an AU, they really nailed the overall look. I love my BA XR8 but you've got one tough car mate.

Nice dude. I had one of these a few years ago. Manual too. Sold it when I was in the UK as I didn't think I was coming back. I now have a povvy XT 5.4L 3v. I missing the handling and interior of the TE50. What exhaust have you got? Hurricane Tri Ys were the pick of the headers if I recall correctly.

I reckon the AU has aged really well. Better than the BA/F. Sure, the original Forte wasn't so good. These T cars are gorgeous.

Love them, I sold mine to buy a 300 SRT8. I still have a 220 XR8 and a LTD I love windsors but the step up to a 6.4L Hemi is a big gap.

There a phenomenal car. Mine was built by Damika. The TS had a longer wheel base as did the Fairlane they were based off of. Mines Red with the 5 speed and full black leather. . I put a True track in mine. So much better. And that sound.....
