They both sound really good I am a Ford man myself but I love the sound of any V8. Each car, Holden and Ford have there own unique sound.

I really like the note of both but I reckon the LS sounds best at idle and Windsor sounds better everywhere else. Seems that Windsor has a deeper throatier note while the LS has a raspy note

I've always loved the sound of the Windsor, it sounds raw compared to even Holden v8s of similar generations. Both have their perks and I like them all for their own reasons but it's always been the Windsor for me

Hey mate I also have a 2016 wn2 but god I love the windsors. like you am a massive fan of both companies and cars, and I’ve always found the fords vs Holden stuff stupid in the modern era seeing as tho you can’t buy em anymore. Would love to know the mod list to the caprice

Surely we can both agree both those engines sound magnificent in their own way. The windsor sounds like a classic v8 and the ls3 has that modern noise to it. Either way cant choose haha

I love the sound of the 302 small block. I'm going to buy an xr8 au series 2 and replace the efi with carbs cause I prefer the sound of older v8s

If you’re an Aussie v8 dude you know that 302 sound as apposed to a 304 or ls.. they are all unique sounds and set them apart.. that Ford v8 sound used to piss me off 😂 holden for life

The hsv is a cross plane crank and the Ford is a flat plane crank. That’s why they sound different.

Australian built TS50 is sum thing special,,and will be worth a lot more..but I’m sure if the TS50 had the extra 130rwhp it would be a different story..all in all they both sound great..ones a drivers car and ones a luxury cruiser

Never heard an LS motor that I like the sound of tbh.. no doubt about them being a great engine but whether their in a street car, race car, fourby they always sound flat or something. Old school Windsor's or even Holden 253/308/304's will always sound better even if LS's leave them standing still

I can't believe this is a legit question the Ford engine sounds better because it is better, and Holden can't make an engine to save them selves thats why they have buick 6 cylinder engines and chevrolet v8s pffffffff ford uses a Ford engine its a no brainer

Your fucking stupid, do you actually think that the motor is the Ford is an Australian motor? The intech and Barra series is based of an American design and the Ford Windsor is American, just like the commodores they use designs already built from America, everyone knows that the Ford v8 was replaced by the Barra because the Barra was just more capable motor and everyone knows that the ls replace the 5ltr because again, it was a better motor

Damm nah definitely the Holden for me and I own a ford was a originally a Holden boy but nothing beats a xr6t but that golden obviously been cammed or at least having a bigger Cam, then the ford it sounds freakin mean and loud the ford sounds mint but with a nicer lower sound both sound absolutely amazing but Holden much better 😎

Ls3 is not a Holden motor lol it's Chevrolet, Holden can't make an engine to save themselves, ps motors are electrical, cars have engines

Jimmi Johnson the AU Windsor is one of Australia’s best sounding v8s. The Windsor is a 50 year old or more v8. The Ls is less than 20 years old. I’d rather old school grunt. If you hav listened or owned either in real life, you can hear the LS has a more ‘clap/fart’ sound. While the Windsor’s has a more muscle v8 sound. That can also be heard in the video. Don’t get me wrong the ls sounds amazing. Just no where near as good nor will it ever be as good as an ol AU Windsor.

Nah that ford loses by a long shot Holden sounds buff asf 🤣 your reving it every two seconds and the holden was just sitting there not even reving much and sounded so much better of course you say the note of the fords better you can play with the rev range more with manual all I hearded were excuses 🤣🤣🤣🤣
