Wet belt wet belt wet belt 🤯🤯🤯why o why do these still exist there absolutely sh**e , every single owner i know has had to replace the engine due to this horrendous design 😫😫
only the thing is putting me off them and no one knows what millage they should be changed on Ford says 150k but they are going on 80k 90k 100k I don't understand why
Truely awful. Ours has just been delivered to replace our 2021 Transits and what have Ford done. Removed all the useful stuff and given you a great big screen to distract you whilst driving. One two USB ports, down low below the gear shift, so you have cables trailing everywhere if you want a dash cam, removed the useful storage holders, sunglass holders, taken the door restraints off the rear doors so they can blow open and rip themselves off. No hooks to hang your jacket, really small cup holders. Smaller mirrors, and the rear compartment has all the electrical cables exposed so you can catch them on any large items you load and rip them out or just cause a short....fantastic. They must have listened to all their previous customs and taken away everthing that was any good.
I am waiting for the delivery of my new Trail model. I agree with you. A big distracting screen and no buttons or manual knobs. I will try it for a few months and if I am not satisfied I will sell it for something better.
It’s just taken me 10 minutes to find the cigarette lighter for my dash cam. It’s under the gear box. Now I have a wire draping down including on the new touch screen. What have they done with the USB as well. I’d expect that issue on a Dacia. It’s more trendy but it’s lost its function. They’ve listened to VW or just lost the plot. The height it lower also so it’s certainly a learning curve. Hopefully someone will bring out a mod / guide to bring the usb and dash cam lighter to the top.
Couldn’t agree more. Why don’t they just put a design engineer into the cab of any van and talk to delivery drivers. Imagine - designing a van with the customer in mind. Still a wet belt system. An exhaust cleaning system that’s incredibly pricey when it goes wrong. A fuel cover flap that I fully expect to last weeks rather than years. I suspect there’s no wind where these are made because trying to load from the back with doors that aren’t fixed open and you’re liable to be hit, or hit any vehicle parked next to you. I miss my old van already.
Hello, I can’t agree more. Ford have destroyed it as I loved my 2022 transit custom. Can I ask you, have you noticed any clunking noise from the gear box when. Ford tried to say it’s backlash but I said, in a new ford box ? It seems to get worse the more you drive it and when acceleration and deceleration. Thanks
Great informative presentation. Very well delivered. You did a great job. Easy to listen to and no messing about. Much better than people older than yourself. 🤘
Thanks for watching, I suppose most people use their phone now with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, but I do like to also have a built in nav! The heated steering wheel is a luxury, but so nice on cold winter days, Ford are trying to make their PRO range more comfortable and desirable to customers!
Lovely vans, far better than anything else on the market. Ive driven in 17 european countries in Transits and looking forward to my new 24 plate custom ltd. Imo there is nothing which compares..
I must admit that in terms of a Ford Van it looks more American than anything we have saw before in the UK. They have lowered the roof a bit and I can understand why they are doing it. They are trying to make it look more like the VW Transporter and Peugeot Expert in style. The Peugeot Expert changed style in late 2016/easy 2017 and has been selling like hot cakes with the French company grabbing huge contracts with the likes of Royal Mail and Police Scotland. Peugeot are obviously parr of the same US based company that are ultimately responsible for Citroen, Vauxhall and Fiat these days which is why the Dispatch, Vivaro and Ducato are looking very similar in shape and style. And I believe that this is behind Ford's tinkering with their Transit Custom.
Cramped cabin, why is the B pillar so close to my head, I can see it’s a VW in Ford’s clothing, I’m surprised I’m not bumping my head on the A pillar when I get into the van as I did in the transporter. This has ruined the Custom.
