The evaporator drain line on your AC is plugged. The moisture is spilling out of the AC system, it should properly drain out, but the plugged line lets it overflow in your cab.
Soap idea works great 👍🏼 on a side note. On the Explore (or any other SUV with rear heat and A/C) I have had the grommets around the a/c lines that run up through the floor leak and insulation under the carpet gets wet and causes condensation to form in the spare tire well.
A/C drain will leak back into the cab on this trucks and soak the carpet. Or behind the BCM where the firewall and the left front fender meet sometimes leaks.
There's a tsb on f150z this gen sduty may apply too, passenger floor soaked , its the elbow that connects to the drain tube from the hvac box to the floor
A/c drain has a metal piece covering the discharge tube on the passenger side that leaks back into the cab. RU-vid the fix, there are quite a few fixes for that problem and that’s how I fixed mine and it works.
Check the heater coil or any other lines going into the car. Or check if any rubber gromit on the bottom of the truck isn't seated. The things you showed would not get the carpet to soak!
👍👏👏 😎. Idea. Positive pressure in the cab. Will show you the air leaks sitting still cool start To finding the leaks. Problem I have is going down the road In the rain Then the dam leaks show up. The wind moves the water in weird ways. Good luck with your search. Have a good day
There’s literally a recall that even ford dealers choose to forget about and the fix is a 90 degree elbow on passenger side. The ac drains itself into the cab. Even when using the heater the condensation burns off into the cab. Everyone always tries to blame the sunroof and never realizes it’s a design fault from the factory lol
What my 18 was just doing had to put an elbow on it to drain straight down thank Ford engineers for this. The 18 to 20 models have this happening and the elbow is the fix. I just did it today.
If I was capable of lowering my backseat. I would check this because my truck has a leak somewhere any time I wash it or it rains smells like mildew. I have tried moving that latch with my finger, but it seems to be insanely hard for me to pull up so I give up for now.
@@DS-TRUCKS finally got it thanks , turns out my window is leaking from the driver side corner on the top and bottom of the sliding window. Always something with these trucks 🤦♂️
If you close off the exit vents on your vehicle and run the HVAC. Fan full power. Not on recycle mode. The Air has nowhere to escape. Water leaks will be exposed with soapy water
Check the doors sometimes water will go right down the window into the door and maybe funneling right into the cab instead of dripping down and out of the door frame
You ever come up with a resolution for this? Ive got no sunroof, no cab lights, yet water has begun to drip out of my A pillar grab handle. Im thinking the rood drip rails…. But windshield was been replaced 6 months ago
Ford f150 lariat is the worst truck don't buy f150 used 2017 and up they are trash on wheels Unless you don't planing on driving just for the pictures it's really pretty truck
