Good morning Daz 😊 No matter how many times you do theses Dagenham Dustbin wet belts I’m sure people will pick up some fantastic tips for you 🤩 People need to havd their cars serviced regularly 🤔 Love your video format too 👍🏻 I’m a bit of a DIY mechanic but I’m sure if I was local and in trouble I’d be in touch with you Baz in a flash 😀
Great job again Baz, seeing as you are doing so many of these, you could get a piece of Perspex and drill out your template for your timing cover bolts, just something a bit more permanent. Laser will probably bring one out!. I'm the same when it comes to putting my tools away after a job, I need to confirm I have them all. One question, the old belt looked like it had wandered on the cam pulleys towards the timing cover end, was that the "natural" position or had you moved it? (about 5:45 into the video)
Why are manufacturers making life so difficult? Because these aren't supposed to be repaired! They're designed to fail at low mileage, this way, people have to buy a new car. It's great for turnover, but not for the consumer. Imagine an engine that fails within five years, or less. 🤔
Baz i,m sorry but why is the motor trade governing bodies not fighting this or pointing this out RAC AA the lot of them so many people that need their cars for work are out of pocket when this happens sory Baz disgrace on the motor trade as they know about this issue even the AA patrol men on the road see this
@@bazmeredith baz baz baz thats whats up with the motor trade everyone knows there are issues and the trade does nothing not getting at you baz but the trade is the same thats why you get a bad name
@@scotspie501douglas7 I've done my fair share of these to say it's down to servicing the worst I've seen was 37k with 1 service from new, then the belt I did was at 86k with full history was like new... What does that say...
@@bazmeredith your wrong Baz when the customer buys a car and the service interval says 20,000 miles for oil change then they dont stand a chance from day 1 everyone knows they fail early i,m talking from vauxhall experience and you have a ford most of these timing belts fail I know you cant comment on line Baz they have a lantent defect these wet belts and the industry does zero
@@scotspie501douglas7- simple answer boycott Ford’s! Scrapyards would be full of Ecoboost Ford’s. Stellantis have wet belts, don’t know about Korean cars ?
