Foreigner 4 was the first cassette I had to play in my 64 Oldsmobile Super 88. God this takes me back to 1982... :) The Sax in Urgent is unmatched till this day... I turned that shit up and hauled ass through the California Desert. Awesome times. :)
This song URGENT is one of the greatest rock songs and certainly most popular rock songs of all times. I love it no matter who sings it and no matter in what decade as long as the singer is good. Low Gramm is a great singer and so is KellyHansen and I love them both singing this favorite song of mine.
This is Rock ....tight clean...bass line that grooves,a killer sax solo and awesome players....should be part of every childs musical education.......yes......love it.....amazing....a classic
tuve la oportunidad de verlos en chile con un gran amigo k me invito el ya no esta se lo llevo el covid pero lo recuerdo siempre con an gran aprecio escuchando estos temas de foreigner k son fabulosos .saludos
Damn I am missing the good days. This is my therapy . I sit here and jam out . Best medication out there. I get lost in the music. Where are all the rockin hippies at ??? Today's generation don't know good music anymore. My seven year old knows all this. He will know good music.
Got tickets to see them last Friday (March 21) at Casino Rama for my 21st birthday. Unbelievable show. Hands down one of the best performances I will ever see.
+TJP77 I know them just because of ex King Crimsons Ian McDonald and via some radio listening. Must admire that this performance upsetter me in very positive mod
+tmru2b Karaoke groups don't write, release and chart new music. This incarnation of Foreigner has. And as much of the backbiting and sour grapes that Lou has been throwing out about this incarnation of Foreigner, I really don't see Mick wanting anything to do with him anymore.
+Terri Geer incarnation, 2.0, call it what you will it's not 'Foreigner' and from the sound of what went down Lou has every right to feel screwed over and slighted...and if Mick is going to trade on the name, then he damn well better be ready to have the backstory come with it. Mick's only solo claim is greed and without Lou/Foreigner he's a nobody.
+tmru2b Of course it's Foreigner. You just don't like it. As for Mick trading on the Foreigner name, it has always been his, just as the band has always been his. Lou has no right to feel screwed over or slighted. Lou voluntarily walked away from Foreigner in 2003 to go solo. He still gets royalties and always will for the songs that he helped write.
Saw Foreigner at Foxwoods - July 29 , 2016 and they were just unbelievable. Great Show , The whole place was rockin the whole night long. Can't wait for them to come around again to our area.
+john doe Untapped talent? I don't understand what you are talking about. Kelly Hansen has been singing professionally since his Senior year in High School. The previous group that he fronted was Hurricane. It disbanded only after their record company imploded. But they had won 5 music video awards, and more and more of their songs were charting. They were touring 300 days a year. Tom Gimble has been part of Foreigner for 20 years. Jeff Pilson was part of Dokkan. The drummer in this video is Mark Shulman (sp?). He has played with a LOT of bands. He is currently playing with Cher.
The point was I paid for a "Foreigner" show at Rama. More importantly, to see Mick play. The concert was Promoted as tho he was going to play. The posters leading into the venue had him on them. Didn't find out he wasn't playing until the first song. That is misrepresentation. Not what I paid for.
When are you all coming to Cincinnati Ohio i would love to see you play in concert and I can play all of your music i play drums and I enjoy playing the music that you all play and I can play real good i can play see urgency real good just like your drummer
No me canso de escuchar este maravilloso grupo su musica es para todos los tiempo y por siempre y que dios nos preste vida para seguir escuchandola, GRACIAS
My dear friend played this wonderful, mind boggling song, music on You Tube. I have not heard it on You Tube for a while. Great song for emergency situations such as unexpected surgeries or loved ones calling for his or her needs
этот ШИТЯРА мы слушали в первые на радиостанции которая вещала в ЯПОНИИ для Американских военных ! Приёмник ВЭФ чётко ловил только надо точно настроить чистоту на ультра коротких волнах !
I was a 9 year old listening to Foreigner because my dad used to play it on cassette in his car. And now here I am some 30+ years later still rocking out to it. Good times.
+TheInspector1962 This is simply not true. Almost every single band changes their line up over the years. When Journey (Neal Schon, actually) burned its bridges with Steve Perry, they lost their ability to create. Even Jon Caine admits that. With Foreigner that didn't happen. They have written (Mick and Kelly) new music, released it and had it chart. And, in case you hadn't noticed, Lou left the group three times. The first was to go out on his own, the second time was medically (so I don't really think that counts), he came back to the group after he got well, then he left, once again, to go out on his own. What's interesting, to me at least, is that Lou didn't complain about the two singers before Kelly. Kelly he complains about. IMO, it's because Kelly does on hell of a job and it is obvious.
You know how great this song is and you can feel it in the intro. Has the guitars and that great sax jammin in the E minor key and most of all powerful energy.
I love, love, love his voice and the way he performs i stage, and of course the sax and the guitar (wonderful too!!!). FANTASTIC music!!!! Thank you; Foreigner; for this GREAT music
