the sikhs and the brits were on good terms, as during the sepoy rebellion of 1857-58 (also called the first indian war of independence) the sikhs were loyal to the brits and as a result were treated far better than most indian peasants at the time.

In the past times when Kings rule India, only kings used to wear a turban not an ordinary people were allowed to wear it. But when Sikh religion is made our Guru ji ( supreme leader of Sikhism Guru Gobind Singh ji) gave right to wear turban to all who belongs to Sikhism as it is our pride and sacred thing to us. Our Guru ji made an ordinary person a king of their lives. Good luck brother

I was in the Punjab about 20 years ago and loved it. I married a Punjabi girl and we have a beautiful son now, half Scottish half Indian, who speaks fluent Punjabi. One of my wife's uncles has a turban that he puts on and takes off like a hat, kind of like the clip on tie idea. You should get one of those Mr. Bald. Looks good! This reminds me of when I worked in a hospital here in Norway - one of the doctors was an Indian man. He was very tall and handsome, had a fantastic beard, and he always wore a majestic turban on his head. He looked so distinguished and his mere presence made everyone respectful. When he walked into a room, it was clear he was someone of authority.
I also see the other guy harald, hes from Norway and wears a thor's hammer necklace , I'm glad to see the youth rediscovered their aastru pagan religion and culture again, Iceland built their first viking temple since the viking age

Firstly, you look amazing in turban. And, yeah you can get turbans in England too. In Southall, you can find stores with wide range of colours to choose from. Secondly, you need to get your turban a sewing in the middle, which obviously any Punjabi tailor specialised in turban sewings would do. Next, you need to do some tutorials in Sikh Gurudwara, you'll find lots of them in England, and practise also enhancing your learning from RU-vid too. Turban is not merely confined to Sikhism but part of ethnic wear of Northen British India. The modern form of turban, one you wearing, is influenced by the dress code of Sikh Regiment of British India Army.

When I was younger my friend at the time put a hijab on me...it was mid summer in the midwest heat. It was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever experienced, i didn't last a hour. I then understood why on hot days she would just stay home so she could keep it off 😂

sikhi agrees with the original vedic dharam... not the hinduism of today or 500-1000 years ago, so no guardians of hindu religion. Hindu means blind in sikhi.
I admire the Sikh very much from what I’ve learned of them over the years. Unfortunately, this madman in the US shot up a Sikh Temple here in the USA 🇺🇸 thinking it was a Jewish Temple, very bad and tragic. I have absolutely nothing against those of Jewish Faith, yet my heart was devastated at all the tragic loss to this beautiful Sikh community. You look very nice in your headgear and I admire your efforts to blend and try getting close to others even in a small way. You sir are born to be with people. Please don’t think badly of my US people overall, many of us believe whole heartedly in the great melting pot and could learn even more from India 🇮🇳. My favorite saying when asked what I am up to is “hanging out being cool 😎” which believe me one always tries to stay cool in hot Atlanta!

I LOVE how cultured you are! I have a Dr that comes to my home 1x a month bc I am paralyzed right now & she is Indian..she smiled when I showed this to her!! She's always sharing stories w me about India. I definitely have it on my bucket list. Since I am 42 I have time I hope lol but def will look into going in the next yr or so!
