Washing in the forest launderette the Nomad way. Using natural resources and talking about health benefits too (I'm not a doctor, always seek a professional opinion)
Great,i didnt know this use of conkers, nice one. So conkers are for cleaning, sweet chestnuts for eating. The washing line at the end was a touch of class, your clothes will be beautifully wood fresh.
@wideawake4413 brilliant one for pots and grease is wet moss. Sadly, we're not going to carry bottles around with us as it adds weight. But we'll worth a try on the move etc, lighter than conkers and all year round... will give it a try. Cheers Cully, HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼👍🏼
always smiling even on moaning mondays lol. Good to see you both out in the wild with some sunny weather for once. time to gather them christmas nuts soon. lol. Stay safe live well! 🙏🌻
This is brilliant. Thanks. In the U.S., conkers are called horse chestnuts or buckeyes. There's 2 kinds of buckeyes--1 kind squirrels will eat, and 1 kind they won't. Humans can eat the 1 the squirrels will eat, after a bit of preparation.
@CricketsBay hey Cully, and thank you for your comment and support. We call them horse chestnut too, and we suspect your small buckeye is what we would call sweet chestnut. We roast them in a fire.. and awesome eating. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
@davidedge8808 not too sure, I'd seek medical advice from your health care provider as we're not doctors and youtube doesn't like that sort of advice. Usually abcess, typically in your mouth.. however if pain is coming up in the neck, I usually keep it cool and no heat,. Garlic 2-3x a day. Sorry can't be of more help, rules cause restrictions. HAPPY HOPPING Cully 👌🏼 👍🏼
@@loghoppers it's OK I get it. Totally my responsibility. Looking forward to foraging tomorrow with a friend. Outdoor living changes us for the better. Gives us chance to be timeless, authentic and happy
Only came across you recently, enjoying your videos. How do you manage with ticks being full time in woodlands? I got a few the other day after a bit of exploring and hanging out in the hammock and just used a tick card, but if I was there fulltime I'm sure I'd get more and also not be likely to spot them as easily. Can't imagine you want to be covered in premithryn all the time.
@questionableendeavours hey Cully, thank you for you comment. We don't have the need really for anything repellent, we've had the odd one or two as has dog, but we do use a special colla for him.. otherwise we just make sure we don't roll around and always be sure to do a pat down 'buddy, buddy' system. Some places in the UK 🇬🇧 are more worse than others. The lake of light in Scotland is one where by even just a foot off the road and you're smothered in them lol. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
@NobodyNothing-f5c maybe, but conkers seems to soap and lift dirt. I image all the showers people would have without soap, and being red roar after scrubbing with water vigorously lol 😆 cheers Cully.. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
@NobodyNothing-f5c so true yes, was being ironic... or moronic lol 😆. Yeah, it's as if it's been raining in the UK 🇬🇧 for the past 3yrs so far. Relentless! HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼
