The base guy and tenor guy were classically trained but other two(including countertenor guy) were not. Actually the counter tenor guy was a chemical engineer. They were formed at an audition program which is called 'Phantom Singer'. And I strongly recommend to listen their [Bohemian Rapsody].

Forestella from left to right. 1. Bass, classified as a basso profondo - lowest bass. Woorim, beautiful vibrato, good voice control and stunning breath control. Classically trained and a pianist. Watch him as he covers 'Autumn leaves in French (Les Feuilles mortes). He's getting married to World renown figure skater, Yuna Kim. 2. Hyungho, Soprano, ex chemical engineer, didn't study music, Rocker, and famous for Phantom of the Opera. Guitarist in a rock band. 3. Mingue, tenor, musical genius, leader of the group, tackles songs in and language. Watch him perform 'Waka Waka' and ' Be my love's. 4. Doohoon, tenor, musical actor, voice that oozes emotion. We call him his majesty because he's so handsome. Well, all of them are.

The countertenor is... a Rock singer, 😂 with no vocal training 😲 before he appeared on the show Phantom Singer which created this group.. Forestella. Only the Bass and Tenirc are Classically trained. Countertenor a Rock singer, and other singer is Theatrical singer. Most will suggest "Bohemian Rhapsody" which is stunning. But for me "Je suis Malade" is fire... And you will get the wall of sound you are seeking. Plus, even in French the emotion (especially Bae Doo-Hoon who was least seen on THIS performance) will leave you breathless. It reduced one of the older females watching, to tears.

You should put earphones on!! The first guy who is counter tenor is not professional trained and he worked in a chemical company and the bass and the tenor were professional classical trained and the last (on the right) is a musical actor. Please find more pleasures of Forestella’s.

I second the suggestion for the Bohemian Rahpsody. It is masterpiece. Also the bass singer recently announced marriage to Yuna Kim, a legendary figure skater and Olympic gold medalist. JYI.

They have a lot of very famous cover songs, but I also recommend listening to the title track and tracks on their latest album. Their title track, "Save Our Lives", is a song with a deep message. I'm disappointed to see this is the only Forestella video you reacted to. They have so many great covers. So just in case you might want to watch them again - here are a few: Bohemian Rhapsody, Despacito, Sweet Dreams, Time in a Bottle (with a great hard rock insert), Bad Romance, Smooth Criminal, Shape of You, and Thriller. One of my favorites to watch is Waka Waka starring Mingyu, the classic tenor. And then there are the wonderful classics like Angel, The Flowers, Spead Silk on My Heart.

Yeah. They're brilliant aren't they! This is my favorite of all their songs. You're probably all over their backgrounds by now, but I love the fact that that utterly crystal Counter Tenor had no classical training - but was an industrial chemist! [ Have you done his Phantom of The Opera yet? ] The Bass has the 'velvetiest' 'choclateiest' and most 'Yummy'! tone that resonates straight through to the bone marrow. The lead Tenor is awesome in his expression & precision. I gather he was headhunted by an Italian Opera Company { Milan ? } and performed with them for some time before returning to South Korea. The Bari/Tenor has a contemporary pop and musical theatre background. A simply magical blend. 🤩

The team name Forestella is a combination of English forest, meaning forest, and Italian stella, meaning star, and contains the determination to do music that is "comfortable like forest and shining like stars." Based on this idea, fans are nicknamed forest stars. It consists of three tenors and one base based on the vocal range, and can be divided into two K-pop styles and two vocal styles based on the vocal style. He puts so much effort into practice that he is called a practice bug that he shows a high level of blending and harmony despite the distinct difference in tone and vocal style of the four. Based on classical quartets, he is constantly trying to challenge and reinterpret songs of various genres and styles. In particular, he said he felt responsible for the crossover music, which contains a Korean and Asian atmosphere, and wanted to make it a signature of the team. I highly recommend the champions covered by Forestella. It's a really great show.

I'm surprised you haven't react to this extraordinary group again. Not only because of the high number of views of this clip, they deserve it. FORESTELLA is very versatile and KNOWN for unusual and extremely creative reinterpretations of well-known songs. Middle of last year btw. they turned "Bad Romance" completely upside down with their version, and the video has not reached almost 10 M views for no reason. Highly recommend checking out their fantastic version of MAMA (Original By EXO) from the end of the year. You seem to have missed something so far.

10:00 The counter-tenor has actually done a rendition of a song from Phantom of the Opera, twice! He used it as his audition song for the show where their group was formed and he did a rock version where he sang both parts. If you search up Kang Hyungho phantom of the opera it should show up.
