"See them they're running!" Ur ever so cute..good morning! I love this idea lori! And the fact that u call that thing a circle maker! I tend to find anything around me and use it for the sAme thing in my art journAls...in my case her at our home thou that circle maker is called a" doody doody doody! I dunno How it came about really but I pick em up as I have tons juSt laying around from saving em...and I say WITH A HIGH pitched voice "doody doody doody where's mA little beauty with the cutest little booty...and my kitty my angel she comes running even half asleep to rub her cheeks on the end of it...the ones on her face!!! Lol..And then I'll tap her tail gently with it and she stands on her hind legs to hug it! Ahh my amusing life lori, thought id share that w you either think it's fun or that I'm nuts!!! Hahah😂were all a Lil crazy sometimes I guess or let's say unique! Love the page as usual I'm actually thinking of creating my own morning mourning art journal. Lord knows I could fill it! I'm so Happy u and Rob were able to get away together ❤ I so need that! My handsome hubby is worked out over stressed. Hi Lorri Marie, I lost my dad last year and my beautiful adorable big sis in February this year both to covid, your words resonated deeply in my soul and your art speaks volumes, their passing has changed me in ways that never knew possible, I wish to honour them both with my heart and art so that they may live on long after I am gone, you are my inspiration. I think I am on the right path💜

Ps. This concept works for everything in the last 3-4 months. I'm back together and forever different, and I'm ok with that. It's nice not having to pretend perfection. My brain makes me forever different now.

Dear LorriMarie, I have longed to get started in collage since high school and have not. After my husband died last year, I was shocked to be shattered beyond expectation. It wasn't until this year that I thought of looking on YT for ideas. What a coincidence that I found you and your "Morning Mourning" series! I don't believe in coincidences, by the way. I've watched sporadically, but not until watching this video did I think to create my own mourning book. I'd planned to start a large canvas representing the loss of my husband, but I'm so behind in really grieving, I'm seeing the need to express the journey. I'm so sorry for your loss, yet so thankful you've been so honest in your own mourning journey. You and your work have been such a blessing to me! I'm not only learning how to begin with collage, but how to use art to heal in this life-changing, self-changing time. Thank you for this, LorrieMarie, from the bottom of my aching heart. Also, thank you for explaining the purpose of "underpants" in this video! Makes total sense now. :) I'm so excited, even while the pain is resurfacing, to...drum roll...begin at last!

I keep my palette paper and use it as collage paper! And I figured out why I wasn't getting notifications - somehow in my youtube settings the button to email me when new videos came out had been turned off. S0 I am playing catch-up! Good to have you back in my morning before work.

So much here to LOVE!!!! She might not be as polished as before, but she has more depth. The parts that filled in are like more information and it's like gray and black and white, because it's easier to work with when you're in pain, the dimmer light, just making sure what's important is there until we heal. So Gorgeous LorriMarie.... I love, love,love it. My current circle maker is the lid to a chapstick pot that was my Moms. It was in her purse at the hospital and when I went in she would ask me to put it on her lips. It was almost gone. And now it's my go to circle maker and Mom gets to play on my table!

Gorgeous texture, genius idea of merging the two images. It expresses grief so perfectly. Indeed the card is now complete, but I had to ditch the key idea & just keep hearts. It pushed the weight & size over standard & cost a fortune!! 😊❤🇬🇧

Good afternoon LorriMarie! Love all of the energy and layers and layers of different techniques in the background. Your art pieces must just hum with vibration from all of that energy! I especially love the symbolism of your focal point. Very accurate description. We are never the same after a loss of a loved one, forever changed, but hopefully we find a way to move forward. We gather our treasured memories and our un-ending love for them, sealing them up tight inside our hearts for strength and safe keeping, and we take one step at a time forward, slowly at first, then gradually picking up a little more speed til we catch up to our new normal, if there is such a thing as normal. Every day brings a new normal really, no matter what life brings us. Each day is a new day full of possibilities. How we utilize those possibilities is of our own individual choosing....so glad that you and Rob got the chance to get away for a lil while, and I hope that you both enjoyed it to the max!!! Im still around, even if I dont comment sometimes. When I need inspiration I always log on and check out what your are doing or look at back videos. Ive not worked with gouache but Ive used the plastic wrap with other mediums and the tape. At least you show us not to be afraid of colour. Enjoyed today's video. Loved the focal point idea. tfs x
