I forced myself to watch the as much of this video as I could but had to stop. How much red lint did you leave on the block after cleaning down omg. Also never oil your bearings then measure clearance. Bad engine building skills. Please don’t use this video of a reference on how to build engines.

It looks a lot worse on camera then in person. Perhaps your'e right, but my dad has built many engines and said nothing of these small small pieces. It will be ok :)

no, the lint can cause damage, advise against leaving contaminants in engines.

it's bulllshit, unless the crank is being 'hung'. what does suffer damage though from sitting the wrong way is alloy heads. Go research it.

Why take the time to wash and detail the block, and then shoot paint into all the external gasket and bolt on surfaces, paint into thread opening, and over spray into internal surfaces?... Take 10 minutes with some masking paper, liquid frisket, and a utility knife. Painful

Ok so to help u a bit never touch main bearings with skin same goes with the crank journals always use the proper tool for installing ur top 2 compression rings always resurface the head if its aluminum always remove engine bolts from the center outward just a rule of thumb best lubricant to use for pistons and rings is wd40 u gotta be precise with engine rebuilding dude it matters

everyone is going on about this lint a quick blow out will fix that and I would recommend going out and spending some money on telescopic gauges and a micrometer
