I am a manufacturer in China. In fact, the most reliable way to find suppliers is to find the official website of the manufacturer of the product you need. Usually you will find direct contact information and products there.
Actually, this video just made me want to stick even more with Alibaba, haha. Thing is, lots of "factories" are actually Trade companies (Usually it's possible to determine that just by theirs address). I started Amazon FBA two years ago and have already crossed $150k per month. I do love your content but why not create a video on how to start with all the techniques that RU-vidrs prefer to keep to themselves? I gained this knowledge after reading an eBook. No one is talking about how to outrank competitors, gain additional traffic outside Amazon, or properly implement off-site SEO for additional exposure etc etc. I have no doubt that this kind of video would be super beneficial to your audience.
great to hear about your success! I have started Amazon FBA as well do you mind to explain how to rank to best seller? and can you share the ebook name??
Im assuming you mean how to get the "Best Sellers" badge on your listing? The best sellers badge is specific to each sub-category, you have to be selling the most amount of units on a daily basis within your sub-category to get the Best Sellers badge.
I am a freight forwarder in China, and my 13 years of experience have taught me that when you work with a trading company, I try my best to hide the factory's contact information. If freight services are also provided by trading companies, then it is completely impossible for you to have access to the factory's contact information. The only thing you need to do is to designate a freight forwarder to serve you, because the freight forwarder will pick up the goods from the factory and load them onto the ship, and has the ability and opportunity to obtain the factory's contact information for you.❤

The best course of action is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic.

Thanks for sharing, I just looked him up on the web and I would say he really has an impressive background in investing. I will write him an e-mail shortly.
I am a wholesaler of labor protection supplies in China, I am exploring how to sell our products to different places, and your video is very helpful to me.
For anyone considering Alibaba, just know that the 'minimum piece' that they cite may not actually be accurate. I was looking at a supplier who said the minimum order was 1 case. When I inquired, they wouldn't ship anything less than an entire shipping container.

I would recommend for you saying them you want a sample, you might have to pay the full price but they think you want to order more after that and sell them to you.
@@TheAGODAMI yes! Found a cheaper supplier .. but am yet to receive the tattoos and check if they are of good quality .. ( still in transit - Chinese new year and Xmas holiday delay)
Same. The network that I have worked with has treated me well so far. Although, you must do your due diligence before doing business with an agent, supplier, or manufacturer because the wrong one could be detrimental to your business.
I live in Shanghai and been handling sourcing, supply chain management, QC and shipping for the last 6 years. I have never created deals behind clients backs directly with the factory. I work a bit differently, my clients pay me a retainer, with that they get full transparency with whom the factory is, contacts etc. working that way offers us both the trust and ability to know why we are working together, they pay me, i share info. They essentially have their own consultant as a trusted partner to assist them in handling everything from start to finish. i get paid, they get what they want and more. Good video, informative and spot on. I use multiple sources to find factories if I dont have a product on my database.
I bought an $800 Lithium battery pack for ebike from DHgate 8 years ago. It was professionally laser cut packaging. Beautifully made. Still works perfectly today.
Very nice explanation of all the other platforms. The language barrier and the differences in culture are always the concern. You don't know who to trust starting out. Thank You
Great video. I did not know there are so many other options. But after watching the entire video, i feel like Alibaba is the best option after all lol based on cons for every other option you mentioned.
In addition to the main business, the salesmen of our company also help their foreign customers purchase Chinese products. They can always find reliable quality goods and supply Chinese products to their customers at very low prices.
I checked 10 items on all the websites you offered, Some didn't even have the items but in all 10 of them, Alibaba had a better price. but I love the idea of having a second opinion on everything
I don’t recommend DHgate, alibaba is cheaper compared to them. I bought cups (50pcs), they messed up my whole order. I left a note to them before checkout and specifically said which color I wanted. They didn’t read my note, ignored it and gave me the wrong colors. My order also took almost 3 months to get to me, I was overly excited when it was finally delivered to my doorstep. And no I was not able to ship it back because they wanted me to pay the fees for sending it back. So I still have them………….
Wow, that's awesome! It's so detailed, must have taken a lot of effort! I'm a supplier from China and I really admire all your hard work in finding reliable sources.
By dicussing pros and cons of alternative, this video help user to realize Alibaba beats the others. But I as a Chinese manufactuer, prefer to attend exhibition having a direct exposure with end customer and exploring their demand, rather than sitting behind screen. 3 years ZERO COVID left us no choice, but now things changed completely.
It is u, because as a successful entrepreneur u have options, u don’t put ur money into one spot all the time, then u don’t grow and branch out. U stay relying on one manufacturer u have no control over. its good to have option and source in places where others wouldn’t think about because all the mass do is follow the leader. Everyone at this point knows about Alibaba and Aliexpress.

I have ordered from DH Gate quite a few times and never had an issue. The shipping was remarkaeable fast to East Coast of United States. There was one instance where the seller couldn't fulfill the order but they just emailed me to let me know and i wasn't charged. These were small adapters, very inexpensive to ship considering the distance. Overall I have had a good experience with DH Gate.
Happy to find alternatives to using Chinese sources. I've bought one item from them and was pissed off at how long it takes to ship items. Also, I bought what I thought was an electronic device, and got in the mail a piece of toddler clothing. Haven't bought anything from them since. I've written Alibaba off due to inability to trust them, and the interminable shipping times.
(ObsidianPortal🤦🏻♂️) The alternate websites provided are aimed at commercial resellers buying bulk items, not single item purchase like you and me. Cheers, Michael 🇦🇺
Sorry you had a bad experience with them :s may i ask, did you go for manufacturers instead of suppliers that were well over 9+ trading experience? Im always looking for manufacturers instead of just suppliers and i never approach them if they are less than 8+ experience because i dont trust any business under at least 8 + experience lol Id rather go with the company that makes the products and if they provide other services then even better. Anyway I hope you found the right suppliers anyway. Goodluck on your journey.
Being scammed on GlobalSources 😡👎🏻 No trade assurance, so no reliability and no refund. Alibaba covers that 👍🏻 Talking about cutting the middleman and giving options 4:35 for "sourcing agents"... which is the middleman🧐 BTW... Chinese Alibaba's alternatives are all Chinese 😅 (smart promotion) 13:57 thanks for admitting that Alibaba is great source 👍🏻
Steve I was at a loss at the amount of channels that were advising to do sketchy things to make money, and then I saw your channel. Thank you! I was very interested in your video on Japan imports, as quality is important to me and my potential customer base. I look forward to testing some of your suggestions. Thank you!
I am a sourcing agent. Actually you can get better price or at least same price with factory if you find an experienced sourcing agent. Moreover, an experienced sourcing agent will help you to consider many details about the order .Such as go to factory to check production and do before loading inspection. Also will help to find better forwarder to provide cheaper freight.
Can't go to China currently, borders are closed, Covid is high, Lockdown is in place, so Number 2 isn't the option available at this time. Thank you for the rest of the points.
Je pense que je suis béni parce que sinon je n'aurais pas rencontré quelqu'un d'aussi spectaculaire que l'experte Mme Anna Je pense qu'elle est le meilleur courtier que j'ai jamais vu.
The issue is not the sourcing, but the logistics, every time i want to import small quantities from alibaba for my e-commerce business, i reach a level which i stop due to the high shipping fees, i dont know how businesses dropship from alibaba with these shipping fees
To be honest, as an OEM manufacture with 28 years of history in metal, plastics and PCBA, we never join any of these platforms. But yes, Alibaba is full of trading comppanies and everyone are selling the simillar products, same as the global sourcing. If the client is targeting higher standerds, or OEM products, it could be really challenging.
Our company is also, as an OEM,ODM manufacturer with 18 years of kids electronic toys. At present, we had built our own website, because there are too many trading companies on Alibaba, leading to vicious price competition. Let our high-quality products and services can not be directly reflected to the buyers.
We are a clothing manufacturer in China and our owner doesn't use Alibaba to do business, even though many of our peers are using it, but most of our orders come from social media.
Thanks so much for this video! I’ve come across some of these sites in the past but hesitant about using them as suppliers because at the time (2012/13) I couldn’t find much info on them. Now that I’m looking for vendors again I’m grateful to have come across your video now that I’m looking for new vendors. Now I know how I’ll approach ordering from each.

I am new here. I am in LA and recently decided to pursue selling my niche cosmetic line that (back in the day) was in top stores from US, UK, and Berlin. Fred Segal, Planet Blue, Bigelow, Space NK, selrvt Nordstrom, etc... I want to sell into China but read in Chinese news that US brands are 'out of favor.' I get news from China daily, i am a nurse but was prior a cosmetic chemist. I would greatly value your thoughts about this.
Don't trust any western news reporting about china , cosmetic market is highly saturated here for foreign brand you might need to spend lots of budget on ads. But the cost on customer acquisition is considerably cheap compared to us eu market.
i don't have any bussines or anything to do with cosmetics , but theres a page call olive young that sell good quality cosmetics, or look for factories in the us
I'm a purcase agent in china.Actually, the best way to purcase products in china is to find a agent you trust, and then let him deal with all the things in china. He can go straight to the factory and negotiate with them face to face. But trust is the expensive thing in trade, both employer and employee.
Wholesale goods from China are good and cheap but I think the biggest problem is waiting to arrive at the Amazon warehouse without making Amazon product photos. Luckily I have cooperated with a studio in China for a long time, and the service is good and the product quality is high, which is very good and saves me a lot of worry
The only problem with Alibaba is that they charge very high delivery charge, I once checked wholesale price for (5k) hairbands and it was around 50k with 30k delivery charge
@@gowest9814 hi there! Could your tell more about how you’re checking the quality of products? Suppliers sent me some leather goods, but bad quality. Before they showed me photos and videos and quality looked great
I was on alibaba and once I had started looking for a specific product with a specific attribute the price changed by $100 per quantity of 4 and I was gobsmacked ! And when I went back through the previous suppliers they too had increased their price by $100. This is just plain fraudulent and deceiving !!! Has anyone else noticed this occurring ?
Very catchy channel name: My wife quit her job (",) - but, my wife has no more an office job since the we got married. Anyway, you make me curious - who knows my wife is also interested. Thanks. Xie2!
You always add value to my life, all the time. Seeing your video is a jump in with two legs & no regret. I always watch till the video gets to it's end.

Have you done business with any of these companies? There are so many scammers out there now. They all have bad reviews and in most cases, I had to use credit card chargebacks to get a refund. They mostly send fake tracking numbers to buyers.
@@larissaandrews7866 I ordered some crafting supplies and things like that. I even reached out to no avail. No one was able to help find the package nor give a refund 🤦🏾♀️
@@michaeldenzer6024 exactly. It’s just scary because you never know which vendor is good and worth giving a try. I don’t want to keep giving my money away!
You could get a vendor and buy the products yoh want to sell. You will have to hold inventory though. Even then its hard finding vendors outside of China, but at least you’d control product shipping to your customers!
Alibaba support help the scammers . I got scammed by two suppliers on alibaba. I specifically requested shipping through FedEx and DHL. Yes they charged extra but I paid. The supplier just went ahead with using our local postal system which is a huge no no as they basically redundant. My shipping obviously got lost or stolen and after disputing with alibaba to mediate they ignored all the facts and evidence. To ad further insults to injury I lost my phone so there is absolutely no way of recovery accounts . I did everything from emailing the forms provided to change phone numbers etc but they have done nothing. I received an email from alibaba claiming that because I have not disputed anything that they have labeled my orders I never received ad "completed and received". So as a whole, Alibaba can burn to the ground for all I care. They rubbish scum.
Hi Steve Thank you very much for your professional videos. Do you know about supplier in Mexico? Can you kindly give information about suppliers in Mexico?
Good luck getting to China these days Looks like China is not going to be a viable option much longer for long term sourcing solutions given the instability in China and how they are making things more and more difficult for foreigners to do business there. Not to mention the prohibitive costs of shipping form China nowadays… Would be awesome to cover sourcing from other countries as we all need to look for China alternatives asap…
As of late, we've been focused on avoiding buying anything made in China. 12 of the 13 you recommend are China sources. The Import Data Base tracks resources coming into the U.S. Do you have information on more than 1 U.S. resource to find American manufacturers? Any info on EU manufacturers?
You know what, First i thought it must worth it to watch this channel. But, I gave a chance anyway. oh boy, I'm suprised and You deserve a new Subscriber. Good job
I HAVE INCURRED SO MUCH LOSSES TRADING ON MY OWN...I TRADE WELL ON DEMO BUT I THINK THE REAL MARKET IS MANIPULATED... CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT OR AT LEAST TELL ME WHAT I'M DOING WRONG ?
Thats a great Video and will help a lot of Brands. I am a Market Analyst and also help brands source products, especially home decor and I have adviced them to use these very steps, they sure have worked wonders in some cases but in some, you have to take a more sophisticated Approach ofcourse.
Just wondering why Wish wasn’t included? Is that because they are not considered in wholesale category? Thanks. BTW, thank you for the informative video!
Great video! I would have killed for this 10 years ago. I have a question that probably is outside the scope of this video… Do you have any resources for going after Chinese factories who don’t follow through on deals? Specifically, taking deposits, and holding them without following through on the order. Do you have any suggestions or legal remedies within China? Thanks again for the great content
@@notyouraveragegoldenpotato there is an update to this situation: the factory had their email hacked. We are still out the money, but the good news is we still have a supplier :-) glass half full.
@Jeff Christy don't let em get you 2x😅 there's only millions of companies. Innumerable options. That company failed their security and that put you out financially.. find a different/ better supplier would be my action right off the bat
I doubt anything like that exists. I have had no problems with china. I get the product but it takes forever, or if they don't have it I get a refund. The US have different laws than china and the us government can't make China or any other foriegn country refund money. My bank account was wiped out by a clerk in a hotel. He sent my info to Veitnam. Nobody could do anything about it, but the bank reimbursed all the money. The detective didn't even investigate the clerk in town.
These are my biggest questions..#1 Why is a guy making 7 figures a year making instructional videos. #2 Why are all the dropshipping videos about how to do it and now, this is how I'm doing it. #3 Is anyone out there actually thriving doing this? Or is it nothing more than RU-vid "how to" videos full of comments?
