Thank you for sharing. I have always been a bit cautious with regards to the soil. So your information has given me the encouragement. I love forget-me nots, will sow more seeds and plant. Thank you.

Hello, I’m not a gardener at all, but a friend of mine died in a horrific car accident! She was a lovely happy lady and she’s sorely missed! Her daughters gave away packets of “forget me not” seeds at her funeral (which I thought it was a beautiful detail to remember her) Now I need to know how to plant them! I live in Miami, Florida, and our weather is beautiful and sunny. I really want to be successful so I can keep my dearest friend’s memory alive! Please help me. I found your channel today and loved it, you have a beautiful personality! Thank you so much! 🥰💗💙👒

Hi Marta, wow what a beautiful gesture. Best to get a seedling tray. Fill it with good well draining soil and place your seeds and lightly cover it with light soil. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. The forget me nots will grow very quickly. Transplant the seedling into a bigger pot. Throughout this process no direct light , just indirect, like in a kitchen, as they are delicate and will lose their moisture and wilt. Once they are strong enough place them in indirect light in the garden and slowly introduce it in the garden. Let me know how they progress. if you have any hiccups contact me and good luck.

@@redsoilgardener Thank you so much for your prompt reply, I just need to know when keeping them in the kitchen will air conditioner affect the growing of the seedlings? Here in Miami almost everybody has it because is very hot most of the year. Again thank you, you have a new very appreciative subscriber! Have a great summer 🥰🌻

I have this in my garden and I love it. It is the Chinese Forget-me-not, or _Cynoglossum amabile._ You can distinguish it from the _Myosotis_ by the colour of the centre part of the flower as well as the seeds. _Cynoglossum_ seeds are hairy and sticky as part of their propagation mechanism - if you have cats or dogs don't let them near them! My only issue is having the patience to let it grow from seed to bloom! But my goodness, it's worth it! Beautiful and not at all invasive if you deadhead regularly and collect the seeds. Thank you! I miss your garden tours, any coming up soon?

Hi there! Tnx for your informative video. I have my Forget me not self seeded already and has grown 3 to 4 inches tall now( August 28, Reading, UK) in my backyard. I m so confused now whether or not I should be transplanting in the pot. Bcz upcoming spring I wanted it to show off on planter rather than on the backyard. And another question would be after transplanting then to pot should I keep in the shade in winter bcz I don’t have greenhouse neither conservatory ? 😢 Plz help. Tnx and happy gardening! 👩‍🌾🍀🌼🌻🪴

Hi Sophiya, sorry to have taken so long to answer. With your forget me nots, I would transplant them into the pots in that way you will have them in your planter for spring. Over winter they will go dormant and once again pop up in spring. The forget me nots are known to be quiet hardy and if you need to leave them outside you will need to protect them from frost. Try to get a frost cover in the garden center, to give it extra protection you could also try to insulate the plant with straw or mulch. Over winter water less as the plant goes dormant and ensure that the plant gets at least 4 hours of sunlight. I hope this works for you. Happy gardening , keep me updated.
